Possibly one of our best hotel stays ever. The hotel has a quiet beauty right out of a postcard, the staff are amazing and the food sublime. They did everything to make our stay perfect. The food is one of the best I ever had at a hotel, but western travellers should make sure to set expectations regarding the food which is very japanese, it was always interesting and perfectly executed but pushed us to our limits in some cases :)

Such a nice big cabin, well heated, staff were wonderful! Beautiful area! Read on a previous review that there was a gas smell from the heating which made me worry but there was no gas smell at all! It was an incredibly pleasant stay.

Beautiful location! Very serene and calming. Staffs are all very friendly and helpful! Food is scrumptious! Wide selection of drinks and alcohol! The fireplace add an additional coziness to the place.

Hotel Kifu Hotel Shiretoko is a 10-minute drive from Shiretoko National Park, which is assigned as a UNESCO World Heritage. It’s a small hotel running by the family, who are so nice and polite.

Located a 15-minute taxi ride from or a 25-minute bus ride from JR Toya Train Station, The Lake View Toya Nonokaze Resort offers guests a panoramic view of Lake Toya from their infinity onsen. One of the best properties we've visited in our travels in Japan. Modern, clean, spacious. View of Lake Toya was breathtaking, especially with full view of the nightly fireworks. Breakfast/dinner buffets had so many choices/stations and were delicious, with a spectacular view of the lake while dining. Onsen was lovely, especially the open air bath at the top of the hotel where you can see the stars at night. We regret only staying for one night.
