In a word everything. The property is like something out of a James Bond movie. The room was excellent with two onsen, one outside with an incredible view. The layout of the room and the decor were to our taste and amazing in its simplicity. This aspect was evident it the rest of the hotel, from the corridors with work windows strategically placed, to the communal areas. The Kaiseki dinners were also excellent and the staff extremely welcoming and helpful.

Such a nice big cabin, well heated, staff were wonderful! Beautiful area! Read on a previous review that there was a gas smell from the heating which made me worry but there was no gas smell at all! It was an incredibly pleasant stay.

Boasting open-air hot spring baths and ocean views, Wakamatsu Hot Spring Resort is a 15-minute drive from JR Hakodate Station. Free parking is available on site. Magical place. Exceptional service and hospitality from staff. The onsens were relaxing and beautiful. We loved the private bath to enjoy as a family. The room was immaculate and the view amazing. 10 out of 10!

L'Hotel Kifu Hotel Shiretoko se trouve à 10 minutes en voiture du parc national de Shiretoko, classé au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. A lovely small hotel facing the Sea of Okhotsk where you can see a beautiful sunset right in front of your room. The Japanese-style room is spacious with a large window facing the sea. The private open bath is excellent. At dinner, you get the chance to make a variety of tempura by yourself which is kind of fun. This hotel is not far from Oshinkoshin Waterfalls and the Shiretoko Nature Center and the five lakes. I will definitely come back again, perhaps in mid-February to see the ice floes in front of this hotel.

Friendly and cute staff who offered to drive me to Jigoku Vally, giving plenty of advice on the shops. Nice Japanese style of rooms and staff will help you make the Futon. Food is also nice. 15min walk from the valley.
