Both Luis and his mother Anna were lovely, accommodating and couldn’t do more for us; from wrapping me up at the dock as we headed at night fall to bringing us hot water bottles in the night. Luis helped to arrange a tour for us to take us to Taquille Island and other parts of Lake Titicaca and the breakfast was delicious. We also had dinner whilst with them for an additional price which was basic but enjoyable.

We stayed Puno just one night to visit Uros island. So we can not comment about Puno city itself. But Uros island was no doubt an exceptional experince. Since our kids are still so small, we bought private tour to be flexible about tour schedule, and it was very good. But one thing we should be careful about a private tour is that we receive all the pressure from Uros people to buy something they made.
