This was a surprise actually, didn’t know what to expect but it’s a really nice well kept hotel away from the chaos of the city. Our room was modest and although we only had one night here on our transit to Cusco, it’ll be high on my list when we go back. The staff is also very welcoming and pleasant.

We had a great stay on the floating island which is truly a unique experience. It is ideal for a couple of days to relax and calm down. The room was clean and Ricardo/Cyntia & family were super attentive and helped us with everything. We enjoyed the fresh food that was prepared by the family. During the night it gets bit cold but we were prepared and managed with several layers. We were able to do a couple of tours around Urus as well as Taquile Island. However, the most special was to speak with Ricardo and learn a lot about local culture, way of living and get an overall feeling of the community. An experience we won't forget.

Staying with Joel and Luzy is a must do! They are fabulous hosts and make your stay so easy and memorable. They have 3 rooms and we enjoyed a 2 night stay in the larger family room. The beds are super comfy, loads of blankets and a hotwater bottle is delivered after dinner. Room has a gas heater too but we didn’t use it. There is lots of furniture inside and out to relax on. Luzy cooks a great breakfast of fruit and juice, coffee and omelettes with avocado . We ate dinner there both nights. The food is simple home cooked , tasty and fresh. I am gluten free and Luzy accommodated me brilliantly. There was always a thermos of hotwater on request for making tea and coffee. They even had a bottle of wine to sell to us. Joel transfers from the mainland to and from the island and we also did a 2 hour tour around the Uros Island community. Joel was knowledgeable and showed us the best highlights. While I have eluded to off grid it should be noted that you are on a floating island!! There is a compost loo and shower water is from the lake and solar heated. There is no wifi but my own data worked well.

Only 50 metres from Puno’s Main Square, Tierra Viva Puno Plaza offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and plasma TVs. The Cathedral and Jiron Lima Main Street are 50 metres away. Very clean and comfortable place with warm water heating, tasty breakfast and everything you could ask for that price. Best thing: Lots of different pillows to choose from.

We even extended for one night. Confortable beds, great view on the lake, good facilities, hot water, heating, good breakfast. The best hotel in Peru so far. Puno is a chaotic, not very nice city so it is a good thing that the location is at the outskirts. We had a rented car so it was not a problem for us to move around.

Located in Puno and with San Antonio Church reachable within 200 metres, kuntur inn hotel provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and a... The owners were great! Super-friendly and helpful. Arranged two wonderful trips. Allowed me to store my luggage after check-out. Breakfast was perfect. The view from the top of the hotel is fantastic.

Urus Beluxia er 5 stjörnu gististaður í Puno, 6,7 km frá Viewpoint Puma Uta. Boðið er upp á garð, verönd og bar. We loved the genuine family run feel of the accommodation. Both Luis and his mother Anna were lovely, accommodating and couldn’t do more for us; from wrapping me up at the dock as we headed at night fall to bringing us hot water bottles in the night. Luis helped to arrange a tour for us to take us to Taquille Island and other parts of Lake Titicaca and the breakfast was delicious. We also had dinner whilst with them for an additional price which was basic but enjoyable.

Uros Aruma-Uro on Uros Floating Islands er staðsett í Puno, 5,9 km frá Estadio Enrique Torres Belon og býður upp á garð, verönd og veitingastað. An extraordinary place, definitely worth a visit. You live in cottages on a reed island built by a family that now welcomes guests. The cottage is equipped with all the necessary things. There is also a dining room on the island where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner (for an additional fee). The hosts also offer cruises on traditional reed boats and motorboats to see the entire Uros archipelago and learn about its functioning. They are very hospitable and friendly. They also provide motorboat transport from Puno. A place for a short stay, but worth experiencing!.
