Remember, you are staying on an island so a good communication with the host is crucial and you can't find a better host than Joel. He personally picks you up at the port in his boat, takes care of the breakfast (included) and dinner (s30). He really cares about his guests and makes sure you have everything you need. He helps you with the day trips, with your transportation from and to Puno or the airport of Juliaca. He even arranged me a taxi to the airport that was s50 cheaper than the normal price ! The room is more like a little house, it's very spacious with beautiful views over the lake. next to it is a private outside bed. Breakfast and dinner are simple, healthy but very delicious !

Boasting a garden, terrace and views of city, Casitas del Titicaca Peru is set in Puno, 5.9 km from Estadio Enrique Torres Belon. Staying at Casitas was one of the most memorable travel experiences we’ve ever had, and we’ve travelled a lot. It was so special to be staying right on a floating island and to learn about the ways of the Uros people. Our host Eder was warm and gracious and happy to answer all of our questions. The food was plentiful and fresh, lovingly made by Mama and served by Dad. The room had a cozy king size bed and comfy chairs to enjoy the view. We loved sitting out on the Balinese style bed outdoors during the day. Eder took us out fishing and on a long tour of the Uros islands, teaching us about their ways. Two nights there on the island was perfect.

The entrance was very professional, with the reception and view of the gardens. For me, upon arrival at any accommodation, first impression is everything. The reception was warm and welcoming. There was a desk with a seated area and beautiful glass doors looking out to the garden area. There were little touches like flowers and vases on tables and I didn’t see any dirty dishes on tables. Everything was very tidy and clean.

TiticacaMarkaLodge is located in Puno, within 5.5 km of Puno Port and 5.5 km of Bahia de los Incas Boardwalk. It shocked me when I get in the room after about 15 minutes booting in the dark evening. The room is modern decorating, huge, super clean and worm. The bathroom is about 30 sq feet. I got up early at 2nd morning and had walk around. The air is soooo fresh and the smell cannot be described by city people like me. Breakfast is simple like continental and/or family style.

Set 6.7 km from Viewpoint Puma Uta, Urus Beluxia offers 5-star accommodation in Puno and features a garden, a terrace and a bar. We loved the genuine family run feel of the accommodation. Both Luis and his mother Anna were lovely, accommodating and couldn’t do more for us; from wrapping me up at the dock as we headed at night fall to bringing us hot water bottles in the night. Luis helped to arrange a tour for us to take us to Taquille Island and other parts of Lake Titicaca and the breakfast was delicious. We also had dinner whilst with them for an additional price which was basic but enjoyable.
