Well set in the Aoi Ward district of Shizuoka, HOTEL OLE INN is located 12 miles from Rengejiike Park Fuji Festival, a 10-minute walk from Shizuoka Station and 7.6 miles from Shimizu Station. I had a single room that was efficiently laid out. I appreciated the fan in the bathroom. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner were effective, easy to rinse off, and without a cloying, heavy perfume. The "cold box" appeared to need ice on one side and food on the other side. The pillows were comfortable. The staff were great at finding the perfect location for my room. I smoke and asked to be situated near a smoking "booth" - a small room with good airflow, ashtrays, and closed off so the smoke doesn`t get into the hallway. They put me across the hall from one of these rooms. All rooms are non-smoking, so I was glad to have convenient access to one of these special rooms. They are located on several floors. While smoking is frowned upon by most people, it is nice to know that smokers have a place to go and the smoke will not bother anyone else. Although I can speak a little Japanese, they quickly located a bilingual staff member to make communication easy. He even offered me his personal phone number in case of problems after he left (I thanked him but didn`t take it, as I think people should not be expected to work outside of their planned schedule). The rest of the staff used translation apps. The breakfast was incredible. It was a buffet with a wide range of food: I had salad, yogurt, dessert, bacon, eggs, miso soup, rice, curry, steamed dumplings, salmon, mackerel, fruit salad, and a variety of casseroles. The pork/tomato sauce/cheese casserole was especially tasty. This is only what I sampled - I avoid carbs and there were several containers with bread and similar items. Both times I had breakfast, I didn`t feel hungry again until dinnertime. I needed business documents completed and chose to do this at a quiet time the night before I left rather than at checkout time when the staff would be busy. They were surprised but completed the special forms at my request. The staff were cheerful and helpful.

Food is excellent, service is impeccable, and the onsen is to 'die for.'

The suite was spacious, and we were fortunate to witness a perfect sunrise from our private terrace. The starry nights were unforgettable. Although the private onsen was small, it was awesome. The staff were very helpful, especially Vivian, who was very attentive to our needs. She provided detailed introductions to each course during dinner and breakfast, and we enjoyed every dish. We appreciate the dedication of the chef (the owner) and felt blessed to stay at this hotel. We will definitely come back. Thank you, Vivian, for the live performance of Canon in D. ISANA is just a 5-minute drive from Jogasaki Coast, making it a perfect location.

Located conveniently in the Izu Nagaoka Onsen district of Izunokuni, Kona Stay Bicycle Resort is located 6.1 miles from Shuzen-ji Temple, 15 miles from Mount Daruma and 26 miles from Hakone-Yumoto... The staff was very friendly and kind and even reserved a great restaurant for us for dinner (thank you Chie). The room had plenty of space and was partially traditional. The combination of bike rental, onsen and fireplace was perfect in my opinion.

Located in Nishiizu, a 5-minute walk from Sehama Beach, il azzurri has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay - the resort had two onsens, plus footbaths near the free self-serve snack and drink bar overlooking the bay. Our room included a private balcony with a bath. The staff didn't speak much English, but were very friendly and helpful. Best stay during our two week trip. The hotel is located close to the Tombolo land bridge. If we ever return to this part of Japan, we would come here again.

Yaizu
A very sincere hotel with lovely Classical Japanese hotel vibe with arcade game area (not big but fun). Dinner was very nice with decent sashimi. The onsen on top floor is great with view over the Bay Area. The bathroom was new and well maintained. Room set up is nice with a set of chairs and table with a wide window view. The lobby could be nice and I am sure they will improve it. The staff are very nice and you see they are very happy that the guests are visiting Shizuoka. Breakfast was decent.
This is a very convenient place to stay when visiting Shizuoka. The rooms are small, as in all Japanese business hotels, but nice, clean and comfortable. The bathtub is really nice! Breakfast buffet is included in the room price, and it's a very good breakfast with a good selection of Japanese and Western food. Furthermore, there is a 7-elven on the first floor, and lots of bars, restaurants and entertainment in walking distance from the hotel. Recommended!
The property is cosy and the hotel staff is one of the best I seen in Japan in terms of their attitude and service. Even they are not able to speak very fluent English, they tried their best to accommodate us and used their mobile to translate their information to us. Their manager Yoshihiro Inada is very professional and good in his service. The breakfast is homely and delicious too. I will rebook this hotel if I visit Shizuoka again.
It's pretty close to the Shizuoka Station, making things very convenient. After staying in two different hotels in Tokyo, I moved on to this one which cost about half as much as the previous two per night. As far as rooms went, this was a lot more spacious than I anticipated. For half the price of a 2/3 star hotel in Tokyo, you get a room in this hotel that's twice as big with the same amenities.
The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable! The amenities were fantastic with great quality. The room was furnished with a big screen LED TV, very good for watching movies. The bathroom were fabulous and exceeded my expectation. Wi-Fi strength and speed was great. Hotel location is right in front of Shin-Shizuoka station and really near to the Aoba symbol shopping district. (<5 minutes walk)
We had a wonderful time staying at Hotel Asocia. The staff were really thoughtful and made sure that our stay was as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. The breakfast in particular was exceptional and highlighted the cuisine of Shizuoka and Japan in general. Special mention to one of the staff, Ms Taisei, for going out of her way to show us a good view of Mount Fuji from one part of the hotel.
Higashiizu
Very nice in-room open air onsen. We also tried private onsen on 1F. Fantastic experience. Hotel staff was extremely friendly. We missed the train in Shizuoka and had to arrive at Ito Inatori station around 18:54. Normally the check in time is until 18:00 and dinner cannot be served after 19:00. They were very nice to accommodate our late arrival and sent a driver to pick us up at the station
This is basically a Japanese style business hotel just good for one one night stay if you want to be near the main Shizuoka station and don't worry about the quality of the hotel in terms of comfort and style. However, the staff is very helpful and the hotel provides a car parking tower next to it. The breakfast buffet choice is passable. The best part is the reasonable cost of the stay.
The location can't be faulted, it's only a short walk from Shizuoka station if you take the underground route. I quite liked the complimentary breakfast snacks and more importantly, the drinks dispenser on the evening. There was a small rotary clothes airer in the room which was appreciated. The toilet paper wasn't almost two-dimensional, which is a rarity for Japan.
The hotel is very close to Shizuoka Station! The staff was very friendly and helpful:) We stayed on one of the higher floors and the view was very beautiful😍 At morning, there is a traditional Japanese breakfast. Our room was also quite big for Japanese standards. Overall, we had a great stay and we would definitely recommend the hotel, especially when considering the price🥰
The location is easy to find and convenient in the city center. There are also many parking lots nearby. I like the room has more space than other hotel rooms in Japan. I spent only one night as a transit between my journey from Shizuoka airport to Lake Yamanakako so I didn’t get to experience any facility.
Yaizu
This was by far one of our Japan highlights, escaping from the crowds in the big cities. We only stayed one night on our way from Kyoto to Shizuoka, but we did not leave the premises the whole stay. Dinner, the onsen and breakfast were amazing and such a traditional Japanese experience the whole way through.
If you are travelling for work, or need a small hotel to stay for a day (or two) during a work-, city- or roadtrip, or basically want a bare basics stay, then Hotel Oak Shizuoka can definitely meet you with that. It presents a clean and easy to stay place with friendly and accommodating staff.
Nicest hotel in Shizuoka by far. It has a cool retro vibe and everything is clean and in excellent condition. You also get a lot of amenities and an excellent Mount Fuji view. It has a 7 eleven right in front of it and the staff is the nicest I’ve seen. It’s really affordable also.

It is extremely close to Shizuoka station. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Staff were very professional. Rooms were a good size and great views over the city. We had dinner at the Japanese restaurant and the restaurant was beautiful and the meal was exceptional.
Hotel is really near to the JR. Shizuoka station. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I was asking the place to buy the luggage, 2 staff did help me to find the nearest shops. Room was nice and clean equipped with neccessary amenities.

Shizuoka
The place is very close from the JR Shizuoka Station. It’s clean and the shared bathroom is surprisingly spacious. Guests are also provided with towels, basic toiletries and pajamas.
The hotel is located in the center of Shizuoka, so it was close to the main area. The hotel had many amenities such as tea, face cream, etc.
