Everthing!!! The architecture, wood furniture, decoration, services are all top notch. The building has natural wood scent which is cery soothing. The location is a few steps from Mt Fuji World Heritage Center. There are plenty of parking space in the front.
The staff are very helpful. Ogushi-san helped me book the restaurant for dinner and even walk with me to the restaurant.
When I do some work in the lounge at night. She prepared me some hot tea and snack. And they have the self service open bar. Guests can have all the alcohol drinks such as sake, plum wine or whisky by themselves.
If I travel to Japan again, I might even plan another stop in Fuinomiya just to stay at this hotel.

Decent restaurants, affordable hotel with good breakfast.
Decent restaurants, affordable hotel with good breakfast. We ate big lunch at kura Sushi Fujinomiya, was good fun and orders delivered by conveyor although a struggle because of language even with our Tranlator app and some help from the ladies who speak no english. Don't be in a hurry. Loved Shiraito Falls, and on our morning visit it was not too overloaded and lots of great views and photos

Used as a base for trek up Mt Fuji.
Used as a base for trek up Mt Fuji. Hotel stored my gear (forwarded from the airport) until I arrived and has useful facilities such as laundry. Typically small Japanese hotel room. About 15 minutes walk from town centre on busy road - get a room at the back.

We were on a tight scheldule, ideally we would go for three nights but then the middle night would be staying half way up Mount Fuji. We stayed for two nights and went up to Mt. Hoei only which worked well for me and my back.

There are so much green open areas and trails, lakes, waterfalls, ranches, historic sites under the gentle gaze of Mount Fuji. Just gorgeous and less crowded. Getting around even with public buses are easy. Just follow the bus schedule for connecting buses.

It was a nice quiet town with the most amazing UNESCO Heritage Centre, well worth a visit. Because we were there in off season June, the weather was overcast and cloudy and we were unable to see Mt Fuji, but we did get a glimpse of it for about half an hour or so! We didn't realize this is usually the case during these months and the chances of seeing Mt Fuji are quite rare. Had some of the best noodles in Japan there. We went for a walk in the evening through the town and there was no one about, it was bliss... A lot of the bars and restaurants close on a Monday. Private bus tours only run at weekends from 11am to 2pm not during the week, which we didn't know till we got there, but we used public transport and that was fine. Local bus goes to the waterfall and are relatively frequent on a Sunday.( we missed private bus tour)

Loved the Fujisan Hongu Shrine and the Mount Fuji World Heritage Centre nearby. Both are in walking distance of the train station. Had a nice lunch lunch at Fujiboku on the same street as the Shrine. The views of Mt. Fuji were extraordinary.

The position was really convenient, just next to the railway and bus station, perfect if you're planning your Mount Fuji hike like we did as the bus departs at the bus station next door.
The staff was very welcoming and nice, they even let us change once we returned the next day from Mount Fuji climb before leaving town, free of charge.
Breakfast was abundant, with good food variety.
Overall a very good hotel.
Continental breakfast provided by the hotel was very good. The hotel has its own onsen which was amazing, they even provided robes for guests.
The manager Yusuke Masuda was super helpful, no request was to difficult for him to manage.
A great place to stay.
Hotel equipment is very new.
You can play relaxing music and adjust the lighting in the box.
Boss is so nice.
