Very clean hotel. Close to the train station and to convenience stores. Laundry area was very nice. Breakfast was good.

The suite was spacious, and we were fortunate to witness a perfect sunrise from our private terrace. The starry nights were unforgettable. Although the private onsen was small, it was awesome. The staff were very helpful, especially Vivian, who was very attentive to our needs. She provided detailed introductions to each course during dinner and breakfast, and we enjoyed every dish. We appreciate the dedication of the chef (the owner) and felt blessed to stay at this hotel. We will definitely come back. Thank you, Vivian, for the live performance of Canon in D. ISANA is just a 5-minute drive from Jogasaki Coast, making it a perfect location.

The staff was so welcoming and helpful before and during our stay, the rooms were clean and very comfortable and all the amenities were such a pleasure to enjoy. The courtesy shuttle was a lucky get. Had planned to go from Kawazu station back to the "nearer, smaller, local train station". Spared the inconvenience thanks to helpful station staff. A less than 5 minute ride and we pull up in front of a the hotel - reminiscent of 'seen-in-50s-Hawaiian movies' sweeping driveway. Attentive and kind reception staff - didn't pursue an English dialogue, but felt it would have been middle-basic - made for quick check-in. Twin room with a sea view - but for the pine trees on actual property, from the fourth floor - and soothing sounds of the the incoming tide waves. Spacious for this single traveller with small luggage. Sliding door opens onto balcony - closed on either side by door used only for evacuation emergency. Balcony overlooked large, clean swimming pool, well kept lawns and to my left restaurants sea facing. Lobby is wide- reception to the right upon entry - with small area to sit and read pamphlets etc and gift/souvenir shop to the left. A piano room in front of the shop. A mid-floor library was available all day. On the ground floor were two restaurants - both served dinner but only one served breakfast - and lunch. A bar between the two restaurants and a large seating area of cane furniture and Hawaiian-inspired decor, you KNOW your on holiday!
Everything! You will not find a more authentic Japanese experience than this inn! I wish we had stayed longer. Everything was perfect. Unfortunately it rained for two days straight… so our sightseeing was cut short…. But staying here totally made the trip worth while!! From the welcome at reception, to the amazing view from our room and everything in between… it was perfect. We stayed in a room with a hot spring bath in the bathroom. The dinner and breakfast were delivered to our room. The “kitchen” staff were gorgeous! The futons were comfortable, and everything was spotless. We tried the open air bath at night. Such a different experience in the rain. Sitting in a warm bath, under the roof, listening to the rain falling! It was so peaceful. The owners are very kind and gracious. They are the 5th generation of the family to own the ryokan. They even offered us a lift to the station in the morning and helped us with an issue that we had with our tickets. I am definitely returning in the future!

Had a "garden suite" which was a awesome experience, huge room with tatami mats and the full Japanese experience. Also a balcony, which seems rare in Japan! Great selection in the dinner buffet. Several different onsen options to try.

The room was very clean and there was a nice balcony overlooking the river. For the full season the buffet dinner includes all you can eat crab legs and claws, which is always amazing even though they do not provide melted butter as you would expect in per se America.
Excellent location right on the beach and near the bus station. Comfortable, quiet room with sliding door to the balcony. Friendly, helpful staff.
