il azzurri, the Italian meaning of "deep blue," is a hotel which has all rooms with ocean view and open air-bath. This hotel is located at Nishi Izu-cho, well-known as the famous sunset view. We really enjoyed our stay - the resort had two onsens, plus footbaths near the free self-serve snack and drink bar overlooking the bay. Our room included a private balcony with a bath. The staff didn't speak much English, but were very friendly and helpful. Best stay during our two week trip. The hotel is located close to the Tombolo land bridge. If we ever return to this part of Japan, we would come here again.

Was greeted by lively staff, very helpful and kind. The room was spacious and the bathroom the biggest I had seen during my time in Japan. The bed was comfortable. Great amenities. Be aware there are only stairs, this didn’t bother me, but might bother others.
