The best stay I’ve had in years! 🏝️This is truly a relaxing Island experience and an opportunity for you to unwind in a secluded location. Thank you Sook Peng and Fred for helping my stay feels like home! They have arranged the transfer quite seamlessly, I got picked up from the hotel early morning to the pier and then to the island. The view is truly amazing as the lodge is right in front of the sea. They have everything you need for this Island: kayaks, snorkel masks, beach mats and coconuts (and beer which is a rare commodity in the island)! Thank you Sook Peng for the wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s wonderful to enjoy a hearty home-cooked meal by the sea. I also get to taste some delicious farm-to-table vegetables they’ve grown from their aquaponics farm ♥️ I’ve enjoyed my time on the island, there’s a dive centre 5-min walk from the lodge and it’s convenient if you’d like to join a dive or two. My room is right in front of the sea with a little garden, sun lounge area and a private entrance to the beach. You’re surrounded by nature and animals, I’ve seen cats, cows, tree frogs, big green turtles and more. Just be prepared for mosquitos at night, you can spray the room before you leave for dinner, I’ve also bought a “Deep Woods” repellent and some repellent wristbands which comes in quite handy. There’s no aircon in the room but the island breeze does help, the room is well-ventilated and there’s a fan and cooling machine in the room. Truly an amazing getaway, I must come back again!

Situé au sommet d'une colline de 100 mètres surplombant la réserve forestière de Kinabatangan, l'établissement The Last Frontier Boutique Resort se trouve à Bilit, à 2 minutes de route du magnifique... L'emplacement, qu'on a adoré et détesté en même temps. Le logement est en haut d'une colline entourée par la forêt avec une vue incroyable mais le prix à payer c'est les 600 marches pour y parvenir et qui vous rappelleront qu'il fait 31 degrés. La chambre était très confortable avec de l'eau chaude et une excellente literie. Les repas étaient excellents, mention spéciale pour les banana pancakes chantilly. Le personnel était véritablement aidant, tout particulièrement Jason qui a donné énormément de conseils à tous ceux présents pour la suite de leur voyage. Les activités étaient au top, nous avons vu énormément d'animaux.

Situé à Sepilok, le Borneo Sepilok Rainforest Resort propose des hébergements, une piscine extérieure ouverte toute l'année et un bar. Really amazing place to stay near all of the sights in Sepilok. I chose to walk everywhere and it seemed to be in a pretty central location. Food was tasty and staff was friendly.

Comfortable dining room with complete kitchen facilities. Comfortable and very clean room complete with iron, hair dryer,kettle. Stunning and wonderful view of Mount Kinabalu. Definitely will stay again. The owner/host very nice and helpful.

I like the fact that the auntie feed us with more than we can eat! Comfortable lodge, peaceful and serene place to get away from the bustling cities and work life. Slept like a log during our stay here. The lodges equiped with air conditioning, hot heater, basic amenities..they even have all day coffee tea.

Situé à Semporna, le Maglami-lami Water House offre une vue sur la mer et dispose d'un restaurant. La salle de bains privative est pourvue d'un bidet et de chaussons. Just living on the water. No sand, no bugs, just simple wooden floor and tourquise sea beneath your feet. And the staff is just one of a kind. If you need anything, they are there to assist you. But if you want your mind to chill, they just let you be. No small talk, no pretended kindness, no hustle. Perfection.

Entouré d'une végétation luxuriante, le Tampat do Aman propose des hébergements à Kg Tiga Papan, à 30 km de Kudat. Howard was an exceptional host. From the minute we arrived, he made us feel settled and showed us around the area. He offered to bring us every morning to wherever we wanted to go along the tip of Borneo. The jungle camp itself is so special and there is a great vibe amongst the other travellers. We would have loved to stay longer but we needed to catch the bus to Sandakan (and they don’t go very often!)
