The best stay I’ve had in years! 🏝️This is truly a relaxing Island experience and an opportunity for you to unwind in a secluded location. Thank you Sook Peng and Fred for helping my stay feels like home! They have arranged the transfer quite seamlessly, I got picked up from the hotel early morning to the pier and then to the island. The view is truly amazing as the lodge is right in front of the sea. They have everything you need for this Island: kayaks, snorkel masks, beach mats and coconuts (and beer which is a rare commodity in the island)! Thank you Sook Peng for the wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s wonderful to enjoy a hearty home-cooked meal by the sea. I also get to taste some delicious farm-to-table vegetables they’ve grown from their aquaponics farm ♥️ I’ve enjoyed my time on the island, there’s a dive centre 5-min walk from the lodge and it’s convenient if you’d like to join a dive or two. My room is right in front of the sea with a little garden, sun lounge area and a private entrance to the beach. You’re surrounded by nature and animals, I’ve seen cats, cows, tree frogs, big green turtles and more. Just be prepared for mosquitos at night, you can spray the room before you leave for dinner, I’ve also bought a “Deep Woods” repellent and some repellent wristbands which comes in quite handy. There’s no aircon in the room but the island breeze does help, the room is well-ventilated and there’s a fan and cooling machine in the room. Truly an amazing getaway, I must come back again!

Borneo Jungle Adventure está en Kinabatangan y dispone de wifi gratis, terraza, restaurante y zona de parrilla. Hay un baño privado totalmente equipado con ducha y artículos de aseo gratuitos. Nuestra estancia en Borneo Jungle Adventure ha sido increíble sobretodo gracias a su personal y, especialmente, a Linda, la encargada deñ alojamiento. Aunque no conseguimos avistar orangutanes y elefantes Linda hizo todo lo posible en las excursiones al río. El avistamiento de vida salvaje es así, impredecible. Aprendimos muchísimo de ella y de la selva en nuestros días. Es un alojamiento muy ecológico y amable con el medioambiente y los animales. Linda lo hace todo desde el corazón, y su relación con la naturaleza es inspiradora. Si estás esperando lujos quizás este no es tu lugar, pero tendrás una experiencia para toda la vida. La comida estaba muy buena y las habitaciones son cómodas.

El The Last Frontier Boutique Resort se encuentra en Bilit, en lo alto de una colina de 100 metros con vistas a la reserva forestal de Kinabatangan y a 2 horas en auto de la hermosa Sandakan. Every people are so friendly and nice! Hospitality is great. Due to this hospitality, you feel safe and you can enjoy jangle without fear. Sound of insects, birds and nature things are so great in and around guest house. You use all your seances and you find your own new ability. I went with 74 years old grandfather and 70 years old grandmother. They did not expect such a jangle adventure, but they are so happy about this stay and they enjoyed a lot, but you need to take about 500 steps to the guest house though. Now they have more confidence to try everything. We saw many other European tourist on the river cruse boat. Many of them had grey hair. How old you are, you can enjoy this place and experience if you are open to new things. I went with 4, 8, 11 years old kids too. They enjoyed too. They loved pancake so much. Thank you for meeting allergy request too. Communication before trip was also very nice and quick. Thank you again for the great experience!

El Bayu Senja Lodge se encuentra en Kundasang y ofrece vistas al jardín, wifi gratis y estacionamiento privado gratuito. Personal muy amable y unas vistas preciosas.

El Borneo Sepilok Rainforest Resort se encuentra en Sepilok, en la región de Sabah, y ofrece alojamiento con estacionamiento privado gratuito. Este lodge sirve un desayuno continental. Really amazing place to stay near all of the sights in Sepilok. I chose to walk everywhere and it seemed to be in a pretty central location. Food was tasty and staff was friendly.

El D' Limbai Cottage se encuentra en Ranau, en la región de Sabah, y ofrece alojamiento con estacionamiento privado gratuito. El baño privado está totalmente equipado con bidet y secador de pelo. Comfortable dining room with complete kitchen facilities. Comfortable and very clean room complete with iron, hair dryer,kettle. Stunning and wonderful view of Mount Kinabalu. Definitely will stay again. The owner/host very nice and helpful.

El Nulu View Cabin se encuentra en Kundasang, en la región de Sabah, y ofrece alojamiento con estacionamiento privado gratuito. El baño privado está totalmente equipado con bidet y pantuflas. This place had a beautiful view of Mt. Kinabatangan and the owners were really nice.

El Kinabatangan Wildlife Lodge se encuentra en Sandakan y ofrece restaurante, bar y wifi gratis. Todos los alojamientos tienen aire acondicionado y zona de estar y/o de comedor. I like the fact that the auntie feed us with more than we can eat! Comfortable lodge, peaceful and serene place to get away from the bustling cities and work life. Slept like a log during our stay here. The lodges equiped with air conditioning, hot heater, basic amenities..they even have all day coffee tea.

El Maglami-lami Water House se encuentra en Semporna y ofrece vistas al mar, alojamiento y restaurante. El baño privado está totalmente equipado con bidet y pantuflas. Absolutamente perfecto. Nos costaría explicar con palabras lo que vivimos allí. Ubicación inmejorable en mitad del mar con los mejores amaneceres que hemos visto en nuestra vida; comida casera y deliciosa; actividades divertidas y bien organizadas. Y sobre todo el personal, servicial y sonriente; incluso nos ayudaron los quemaduras de sol jajajaj No os lo penséis, merece la pena salir del ruido de Mabul y disfrutar de su hospitalidad :)

El Tampat do Aman está situado en medio de exuberante vegetación y ofrece alojamiento en Kg Tiga Papan, a 30 km de Kudat. Howard was an exceptional host. From the minute we arrived, he made us feel settled and showed us around the area. He offered to bring us every morning to wherever we wanted to go along the tip of Borneo. The jungle camp itself is so special and there is a great vibe amongst the other travellers. We would have loved to stay longer but we needed to catch the bus to Sandakan (and they don’t go very often!)
