GreenHouse Lodge erbjuder miljövänligt boende med tillgång till en trädgård på Mantanani Island. We had a fantastic time on Mantanani Island. Superb location, right on the beach, no other hotels in the area. We were spoiled by Fred's wife (owner) who is in charge of the food. As vegetarians, we could not find a better place! No other restaurants in the area tough. Kayaks and snorkeling gear available, which we recommend. Nice walk to the nearby village too. Swimming in the sea here is very nice, no strong currents. Transfer is well arranged. Pick up (early!) in your hotel in KK, boat is waiting to bring you to the island and visa versa.

Borneo Jungle Adventure ligger i Kinabatangan och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi. Som gäst har du tillgång till en terrass och grillmöjligheter. We came to see Orang Utangs in the wild, wishing not to disturb them in their homes and approach passively. We got so much more. This camp is privately run by someone who keeps it natural rainforest and doesn't sell to someone making a palm oil farm from it. The people in this camp TRULY care about the rainforest, the animals, and their visitors. Main woman Linda makes sure you have absolutely everything you need at all times. Of course, you are in the middle of the jungle, so wifi only in the common area (but there is wifi in the middle of the jungle!) and there is no jaccuzi. But once you're over that it is 100% perfection! A true rural jungle experience! We stayed 3 nights and already saw the big 5 the second day! Food was plenty, very very delicious with seafood and meat/ chicken/ and really exciting vegetarian options too! Timings: Arrival day - 1pm lunch, 4pm 2h boat tour on river, 7pm dinner Typical day - 6:30am 2h boat tour, then breakfast, 1pm lunch, 4pm boat tour, 7pm dinner Check out day - 6:30am boat tour, breakfast, 10am check out and boat + bus to airport (takes ca. 2h) Top tip: if you love sweeties like me, bring some buscuits / chocolate / oreos

The Last Frontier Boutique Resort ligger på en 100 meter hög kulle med utsikt över Kinabatangan Forest Reserve i Bilit, 2 timmars bilresa från den vackra Sandakan. This is not just a ‘business’, it is a passion! Jason and Gert are sharing a piece of the rainforest to help travelers experience wildlife, insects and plants in their natural habitat. Jason and Gert have created a safe and relaxing environment for all guests to experience true nature. The cabin has wood walls and floors - simple design and furnishings, and so comfortable. There are 2 chairs on the balcony, outside of each room, to enjoy the local flora and fauna. The daily schedule is designed for 2 nights, but we wanted some additional quiet time in the jungle so stayed for 4 nights. Jason made sure that we received different meals for lunch and dinner - he really works to make all meals special! The banana pancakes with homemade caramel sauce is phenomenal! The dining room (with ceiling fans) is also a place that you can hang out - have a coffee, read, play cards, visit and/or observe your surroundings. There is always a pitcher of cold and refreshing water waiting for you. There is a terrace off the dining room (no fans) with benches and small tables - great to look out over the landscape. We went on an amazing evening boat cruise every evening (included in the package). The optional sunrise river cruise starts at 5:30 am - beautiful and quiet (additional small fee). During our cruises, our guide/captain Rodel helped us find Pygmy elephants, crocodiles, hornbills, kingfishers, Silver Leaf monkeys, Proboscis monkeys and macaque monkeys. We absolutely loved our time on the Kinabatangan River! Jason, Gert and staff are so calm, friendly and informative. A once in a lifetime experience/place to enjoy nature and learn about/observe amazing Borneo animals in the wild!

Bayu Senja Lodge ligger i Kundasang i regionen Sabah och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering. The view is one of the most breathtaking view I have seen especially in morning. Good area and value for money

Borneo Sepilok Rainforest Resort ligger i Sepilok och erbjuder boende med en utomhuspool som är öppen året om och en bar. Really amazing place to stay near all of the sights in Sepilok. I chose to walk everywhere and it seemed to be in a pretty central location. Food was tasty and staff was friendly.

D' Limbai Cottage ligger i Ranau i regionen Sabah och erbjuder boende med gratis privat parkering. På D' Limbai Cottage finns en terrass som du kan använda. Comfortable dining room with complete kitchen facilities. Comfortable and very clean room complete with iron, hair dryer,kettle. Stunning and wonderful view of Mount Kinabalu. Definitely will stay again. The owner/host very nice and helpful.

Nulu View Cabin ligger i Kundasang i regionen Sabah och erbjuder boende med gratis privat parkering. My friends and I was so happy and satisfied with stunning view of Mt. Kinabalu from window. Besides, the owner was so supportive and friendly. Highly recommended!!!

Kinabatangan Wildlife Lodge ligger i Sandakan i regionen Sabah och erbjuder boende med gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering. Vi älskade personalen och turerna, dom väckte oss så vi inte skulle missa det vilda elefanterna som gick förbi vilket var ett stort plus!!! Så engagerade!!

Maglami-lami Water House ligger i Semporna och erbjuder boende med utsikt över havet samt en restaurang. Det finns ett fullt utrustat eget badrum med en bidé och tofflor. All the food are really good and delicious

Tampat do Aman är omgivet av frodig grönska och erbjuder boende i Kg Tiga Papan, 30 km från Kudat. Boendet erbjuder upphämtning mot en extra kostnad (se det finstilta). Howard was so passionate and informative, he went above and beyond to make this a great stay for us. Nothing was too much trouble and his family were so welcoming and hospitable. The lodges are a great location in the jungle, but also a 25 minute walk to the beach. It's an interesting but also peaceful environment to spend a few days exploring the area. The beach walk recommend by Howard was amazing, it's like paradise!
