Greenhouse Lodge ligger på øen Mantanani og tilbyder miljøvenlig indkvartering med adgang til en have. We had a fantastic time on Mantanani Island. Superb location, right on the beach, no other hotels in the area. We were spoiled by Fred's wife (owner) who is in charge of the food. As vegetarians, we could not find a better place! No other restaurants in the area tough. Kayaks and snorkeling gear available, which we recommend. Nice walk to the nearby village too. Swimming in the sea here is very nice, no strong currents. Transfer is well arranged. Pick up (early!) in your hotel in KK, boat is waiting to bring you to the island and visa versa.

We came to see Orang Utangs in the wild, wishing not to disturb them in their homes and approach passively. We got so much more. This camp is privately run by someone who keeps it natural rainforest and doesn't sell to someone making a palm oil farm from it. The people in this camp TRULY care about the rainforest, the animals, and their visitors. Main woman Linda makes sure you have absolutely everything you need at all times. Of course, you are in the middle of the jungle, so wifi only in the common area (but there is wifi in the middle of the jungle!) and there is no jaccuzi. But once you're over that it is 100% perfection! A true rural jungle experience! We stayed 3 nights and already saw the big 5 the second day! Food was plenty, very very delicious with seafood and meat/ chicken/ and really exciting vegetarian options too! Timings: Arrival day - 1pm lunch, 4pm 2h boat tour on river, 7pm dinner Typical day - 6:30am 2h boat tour, then breakfast, 1pm lunch, 4pm boat tour, 7pm dinner Check out day - 6:30am boat tour, breakfast, 10am check out and boat + bus to airport (takes ca. 2h) Top tip: if you love sweeties like me, bring some buscuits / chocolate / oreos

The Last Frontier Boutique Resort ligger på en 100 meter høj bakke med udsigt over Kinabatangan Forest Reserve i Bilit, 2 timers kørsel fra den smukke Sandakan. This is not just a ‘business’, it is a passion! Jason and Gert are sharing a piece of the rainforest to help travelers experience wildlife, insects and plants in their natural habitat. Jason and Gert have created a safe and relaxing environment for all guests to experience true nature. The cabin has wood walls and floors - simple design and furnishings, and so comfortable. There are 2 chairs on the balcony, outside of each room, to enjoy the local flora and fauna. The daily schedule is designed for 2 nights, but we wanted some additional quiet time in the jungle so stayed for 4 nights. Jason made sure that we received different meals for lunch and dinner - he really works to make all meals special! The banana pancakes with homemade caramel sauce is phenomenal! The dining room (with ceiling fans) is also a place that you can hang out - have a coffee, read, play cards, visit and/or observe your surroundings. There is always a pitcher of cold and refreshing water waiting for you. There is a terrace off the dining room (no fans) with benches and small tables - great to look out over the landscape. We went on an amazing evening boat cruise every evening (included in the package). The optional sunrise river cruise starts at 5:30 am - beautiful and quiet (additional small fee). During our cruises, our guide/captain Rodel helped us find Pygmy elephants, crocodiles, hornbills, kingfishers, Silver Leaf monkeys, Proboscis monkeys and macaque monkeys. We absolutely loved our time on the Kinabatangan River! Jason, Gert and staff are so calm, friendly and informative. A once in a lifetime experience/place to enjoy nature and learn about/observe amazing Borneo animals in the wild!

Bayu Senja Lodge ligger i Kundasang i Sabah-regionen og tilbyder indkvartering med gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. - smukkeste udsigt med hyggeligt terrasseområde. - meget hjælpsomt og betænksomt personale, gode råd og hjælpsom kommunikation. - Sødt værelse med god seng - relativt nem adgang til markeder mm. i Kundasang! Glem ikke at besøg Kota Kinabalu park og se en Rafflesia i området. 8.5/10

Borneo Sepilok Rainforest Resort ligger i Sepilok og tilbyder indkvartering med udendørs pool der er åben året rundt samt bar. Really amazing place to stay near all of the sights in Sepilok. I chose to walk everywhere and it seemed to be in a pretty central location. Food was tasty and staff was friendly.

D' Limbai Cottage ligger i Ranau i Sabah-regionen og tilbyder indkvartering med gratis privat parkering. Gæsterne kan benytte terrassen på lodgen. Comfortable dining room with complete kitchen facilities. Comfortable and very clean room complete with iron, hair dryer,kettle. Stunning and wonderful view of Mount Kinabalu. Definitely will stay again. The owner/host very nice and helpful.

Nulu View Cabin ligger i Kundasang i Sabah-regionen og tilbyder indkvartering med gratis privat parkering. My friends and I was so happy and satisfied with stunning view of Mt. Kinabalu from window. Besides, the owner was so supportive and friendly. Highly recommended!!!

Kinabatangan Wildlife Lodge ligger i Sandakan i Sabah-regionen og tilbyder indkvartering med gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering. Der er eget badeværelse med badekar, hårtørrer og tøfler. I like the fact that the auntie feed us with more than we can eat! Comfortable lodge, peaceful and serene place to get away from the bustling cities and work life. Slept like a log during our stay here. The lodges equiped with air conditioning, hot heater, basic amenities..they even have all day coffee tea.

Maglami-lami Water House ligger i Semporna og har havudsigt samt restaurant. Der er eget fuldt udstyret badeværelse med bidet og tøfler. Lodgen har solterrasse. All the food are really good and delicious

Tampat do Aman ligger i frodige grønne omgivelser i Kg Tiga Papan, 30 km fra Kudat. Denne ejendom tilbyder afhentning mod tillægsgebyr (se venligst hotelreglerne). Howard var en god vært og fortalte meget om området, og kørte os rundt alt efter hvor vi ville hen den dag.
