The people that work there really go over and beyond to make sure you are welcomed, and have everything you need. Best hostel in Santa Teresa and the dorm beds are big, and comfortable. I stayed on the top bunk and really enjoyed it. The room was very spacious, clean, cool with A\C and large ensuite bathroom with shower. The open air kitchen & hammocks are perfect place to meet people and hang out.

Safely able to stroll the beach at 5:30am and walk the Whale's Tail at low tide. At daybreak, thoroughly appreciated the immensity of the expanded beach and sandbar. Had the park, with the company of birds, the waves, and crabs basically all to myself, except for another person, way at a distance. Many tall trees around the hostel, with howling monkeys as alarm clocks. Saw sloth for two days. Playa Uvita bus stop from San Jose, Dominical or Quepos (not Tracopa terminal or town center) is 10 minutes walk, turning from main road and walking all the way to Playa la Colonia (aka Chaman) park entrance.

All rooms include a coffee machine and a private bathroom with a shower, while certain rooms also offer a kitchen fitted with an oven. All guest rooms at the hostel feature air conditioning and a desk. Excellent choice to live in the area, very neat a spacious (2-bedroom house). A bit far from the center so you need a car to get there, but it is surrounded by forest, so we saw iguanas, howling monkeys and scarlet aras from there.

We offer all classical tours from the Drake area as well as rural tours and self-exploring adventures around the hostel. If you love to stay in the middle of nature, this is the perfect place. Heaven on earth. The house is comfortable and well equipped. You can see a lot of birds and some monkeys around the garden. Mike has always been super supportive each time we had a question. It was heartbreaking to leave this place after 4 days.
