Amazing spot in the middle of the forest, not easy to reach, plenty of water up there, lots of trails to see and explore waterfalls and animals on your own. Ron the host you will miss afterwards 😏

Safely able to stroll the beach at 5:30am and walk the Whale's Tail at low tide. At daybreak, thoroughly appreciated the immensity of the expanded beach and sandbar. Had the park, with the company of birds, the waves, and crabs basically all to myself, except for another person, way at a distance. Many tall trees around the hostel, with howling monkeys as alarm clocks. Saw sloth for two days. Playa Uvita bus stop from San Jose, Dominical or Quepos (not Tracopa terminal or town center) is 10 minutes walk, turning from main road and walking all the way to Playa la Colonia (aka Chaman) park entrance.

This is a great option if you want to disconnect and being in middle of the nature. Very close to the beach and 20 mins to drive to the town.

The location was fairly quiet as there wasn't much road traffic going by. There was AC and the shower had hot water, which my wife loved. The kitchen was an ample size and had everything we needed; even Tupperware to keep our extra food so we didn't leave it in the pans. The rooms didn't feel cramped and had shelf space to put our things. The beds we're comfy and the towels were soft. The covered common area outside the kitchen was a great place to eat and for my wife to work. We would stay here again.

It was a pleasure discovering your finca. Place is gorgeous, located in the middle of the forest. Gardens are vast, lots of flora & beautiful wildlife (lots of birds, parrots, hummingbird).. It was a nice little break. Cabin is huge, it is rustic but it is nicely equipped with everything you might need. I shared a dinner with the family & the volunteers helping on the farm, delicious food cooked by the mum, it was lovely. They were very helpful, arranged a last min night tour with David Garro that was great for herping & photographing wildlife. It felt good to finally feel like sharing with locals & experience it. I would highly recommend anyone this place if you wish to get immersed in the culture and find some quietness & nature.

Excellent choice to live in the area, very neat a spacious (2-bedroom house). A bit far from the center so you need a car to get there, but it is surrounded by forest, so we saw iguanas, howling monkeys and scarlet aras from there.
