I had a great time at Shipwreck Hostel in early January 2025. Had a great time. Staff were great and really helpful. Allowed me to leave my bag overnight. Great place.
Just a 5-minute walk from Uvita's beautiful waterfall, Cascada Verde Hostel offers stunning rainforest and ocean views.

I’ve stayed five star and with friends here and this place was budget and far more generous than hotels that charge for every addition
Judy and her partner were really helpful and there were a great bunch of people staying there
This was hospitality ,breakfast was great and better coffee than most places I’ve stayed
If only there were more places like this

stayed here for two nights, the rooms were fine, mattresses a little uncomfortable but okay for a few nights. The staff was very friendly and they had a well equipped kitchen. The location is fine, it’s very close to the beach which is nice

This place was extremely clean. I would definitely return .
The Host was lovely. The Little kitchen was perfect as I brought my own food. Nice fridge in room.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The bed was comfortable. The hostel only had one dorm which surprised me, but you connected very quickly with the other backpackers there because of it. The dorm was mixed, but this dorm had a frame in the dorm so that you could change comfortably. The showers were fine. Kitchen was also good. The common area was very big and comfortable.
One of the best hostel I have ever been. Clean rooms and nice outdoor facilities -kitchen and bathrooms. The biggest highlight is the garden where you can spot mamy animals.
i loved the staff and the whole vibe to the place was very welcoming staff even recommended where next to visit which was great! the shared dorm is great you have your own space which feels very private 10/10 best hostel i’ve stayed in and i even extended my stay and returned!!
Location was absolutely perfect. 5 minute walk to a stunning beach, amazing restaurants all around. Very safe area for families or female travelers. Best area in Uvita in my opinion. Flutterby has the nicest staff as well, the owner was so kind and friendly. The hostel has clean rooms and is immersed in nature. Great value for your money.
OMG it’s the best hostel I’ve been after years of traveling solo… chill vibes, nice staffs, great location and great amenities! The fact that it’s surrounded by nature makes it even more interesting!
