She is very friendly and helpful. She is a calligraphy artist and she gave us a demo. It was fascinating. We had a wonderful time over there thanks to her friendly and generous personality. I highly recommend staying in the special place. It made my experience in Yakushima.

This place was amazing. The atmosphere is friendly, nee-san is the most amazing host, and will help everyone plan their travels around yakushima. There's a kitchen to prepare food yourself and I highly recommend nee-san's onigiri for a day out! I love this place and will return there once I can. Stayed at 20+ guesthouses, this one is exceptional.

Lovely stay along the prettiest stretch of coast. Host is super accommodating and an excellent cook (you should definitely take him up on the dinner offer). Hostel is clean and tidy with a fun atmosphere.

I enjoyed my stay in Sunrise homestay as the place was clean and comfortable. The host was also very hospitable and generous. There were snacks and shoju on the house! I witnessed the most beautiful sunrise here. We celebrated his birthday with other roommates during my stay. Looking forward to come back here again!
