Now my second time and my go for place to stay on this beautiful island. i enjoy the tatami room, but also there is one room with a western bed. a kitchen with everything what is needed to prepare food and tea / coffee. I hope you enjoy this place like I do.

Other worldly - I absolutely loved the style of this place!! It was like being inside a fairly tale, it sparked my kid's imagination and it suited us perfectly. The host was also extremely helpful and kind.

Situated in Yakushima and only 700 metres from Isso Beach, 屋久杉楼 七福 features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. This place is so special - a beautiful building run by wonderful women who were so friendly and welcoming. They even shared some homemade umeshu with us which was so kind. I had a big room to myself and even though the sound carries through the building, everyone was quiet and respectful so I slept very well. I would love to come back.

Situated in Yakushima, 12 km from Shiratani Unsuikyo, 屋久の宿 たぐち features rooms with air conditioning. Our hosts Mr. Taguchi and Ms. Taguchi were very kind and gave us many information before our stay and also during our stay. They even drove us to the shop to buy a bus ticket. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is very quiet and beautiful. The bath is very very nice, a combination of modern shower and traditional bathrooms. The breakfast at Taguchi San residence was incredibly delicious. We will definitely come back here one day.

Guest room Halemakana er staðsett í nokkurra skrefa fjarlægð frá Higashi-ströndinni og býður upp á loftkæld gistirými með svölum. Wonderful place in such a great environment. The hosts are so nice and welcoming. The decoration is great. The sea view is stunning. You even have a room with a micro wave when you can snack if need be. Several shops around and great places to eat. It is close to a bus stop too and in 30 min you are in Naze the capital. There is a place closeby where you can have a massage too. We absolutly loved it. Thank you so much.

Guesthouse Coco Garage er gististaður í Kirishima, 5,8 km frá Kirishima Jingu-helgiskríninu og 19 km frá Ebino-hásléttunni. Þaðan er útsýni yfir innri húsgarðinn. We spent great moments here. Inside the house, it is pretty warm. There are coffee beans and everything ready for us to make a hand drip coffee. I can’t wait to make one cup. The coffee taste so good and smooth, maybe this is selected beans. I connected the Bluetooth speaker and playing Mayumi Itsuwa’s songs. Music harmonized with the lovely chalet interior, the atmosphere is so relaxing and immersive. Kihara-san is very nice. The Shinyu Onsen he recommended is gorgeous. The hot spring water is wonderful. It is milky-white, so natural and so great. I guess it come from a sulphur spring. In the daytime, we hiked around Onamiike and Ebino Plateau. The crater lake is amazing and there are great views along the trails. At night, we do BBQ in front of the chalet. We rent a Charcoal Konro Grill set, it is really convenient. We bought some Japanese Wagyu beef for yakiniku from supermarket near Kirishima. The beef is yummy, really delicious.

Great location near the bus stop and walkable distance to several nice restaurants and a supermarket. The hosts are very nice and breakfast is so great.

Set 100 metres from Seaman's Beach, 与論ゲストハウス ズッ友荘 offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. This guest house offers free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. Great option for single female traveler to Yoron island. Hosts are very warm and welcoming people who will pick you up in the port with no additional charges. They will also give you great recommendations on what to see and where to eat on the island. For additional 1000 Yen you can have dinner which is absolutely worth it (the food is prepared by host, and it’s delicious). The bed was comfortable with socket, small light, and ventilator inside the capsule. The room was air-conditioned. Location is a bit far from the port but it is very close to many touristic spots including Yurigahama beach, Yoron Minzokumura, Limestone cave. It’s also just 1 min walk to the sea coast. There is a parking lot in front of the hostel. I highly recommend staying in this guest house! I had an incredible time there that I will never forget. Thank you very much ❤️
