It was like staying in an art gallery.

Great place to stay! Easy to reach by bus. Very beautifull building right next to the beach. Our room was very big, kitchen area was clean and a nice place to hang out. The coffee was nice as well. Barbara is a very friendly and kind host who helps with all of your questions!

Situated in Yakushima, 12 km from Shiratani Unsuikyo, 屋久の宿 たぐち features rooms with air conditioning. Our hosts Mr. Taguchi and Ms. Taguchi were very kind and gave us many information before our stay and also during our stay. They even drove us to the shop to buy a bus ticket. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location is very quiet and beautiful. The bath is very very nice, a combination of modern shower and traditional bathrooms. The breakfast at Taguchi San residence was incredibly delicious. We will definitely come back here one day.

Wonderful place in such a great environment. The hosts are so nice and welcoming. The decoration is great. The sea view is stunning. You even have a room with a micro wave when you can snack if need be. Several shops around and great places to eat. It is close to a bus stop too and in 30 min you are in Naze the capital. There is a place closeby where you can have a massage too. We absolutly loved it. Thank you so much.

Situated a 15-minute drive from Yakushima Airport, La Isla Tasse is charming accommodation housed in a large American-style mansion. The rooms were very clean and the house was lovely. Very warm and homely.

A 3-minute walk from Yakushima Airport, Tomarigi offers a bunk in a dorm room, a garden with a hammock and free Wi-Fi. Lovely guest house with incredibly friendly hostess! It is simple, yet love everything and every moment there! The lady who runs the guest house is extremely nice and helped me book the boat when my initial plan went wrong. I felt home and I also made good friends there. The airport and a supermarket are close by, just 5 minute walk. Free washing machine which is a plus after doing a hike. Will surely come back again!

Great option for single female traveler to Yoron island. Hosts are very warm and welcoming people who will pick you up in the port with no additional charges. They will also give you great recommendations on what to see and where to eat on the island. For additional 1000 Yen you can have dinner which is absolutely worth it (the food is prepared by host, and it’s delicious). The bed was comfortable with socket, small light, and ventilator inside the capsule. The room was air-conditioned. Location is a bit far from the port but it is very close to many touristic spots including Yurigahama beach, Yoron Minzokumura, Limestone cave. It’s also just 1 min walk to the sea coast. There is a parking lot in front of the hostel. I highly recommend staying in this guest house! I had an incredible time there that I will never forget. Thank you very much ❤️

Such a cool vibe to sit there and eat together with the other travelers.
