We were very sick during our stay and the owner went above and beyond to make sure we were fed and OK. He was so nice!! He helped us with scooters and bus tickets too. Bed very big, spacious room, beautiful setting. Clean.

Staying in a traditional Tongkonan was such a unique experience with a fantastic view. The inside is made with so much love and good taste. Eventhough the room itself was simple it was always clean and the bathroom was lovely. From the moment we stepped inside Meyskes home we felt like it was our home as well. Meyske introduced us to her culture like we have never experienced during our travels. 100% recommended if you plan to visit Tana Toraja. If you need anything you can always ask her or her super nice mom they were always there to help, whether it was the most delicious food, hot water to shower or a tee because my husband was sick. The tour with Meyske was our highlight of Tana Toraja, she makes sure you fit in as a tourist so you can enjoy the culture as much as possible. Thank you Meyske, come visit us in Germany :)

We had a wonderful stay at Mama Tia Familiy Homestay. From the first moment on we felt like home. Delicious breakfast and very comfortable room! We did a funeral ceremony with Yansen, who also showed us some traditional Torajan places which was fantastic. We also rented a scooter with him. His wife cooks great food and the views from the terrace are very peaceful. We recommend 100% staying here and would love to come back someday!

Toraja Sanggalangi Homestay is a recently renovated homestay in Rantepao, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. This Homestay was the definition of what a perfect Indonesian Homestay experience should look like. The amazingly kind family took me in as a child of their own. I happened to become a little sick during my stay due to too much travelling in the previous days so the family responded by giving my medicine, bringing me tea, and telling me to rest up for as many days as I might need until I felt better. I felt as if I was at home. And along with that, they offer scooters rental for 100k per day, washing for 20k per kilo and delicious and filling meals all around the clock upon request for only 25k per meal. The father of the family also can take you to a traditional Toraja funeral ceremony if you ask him. Without exaggeration, this has been one of my favourite and most wholesome Homestays during my 6 month long Asia travels. Thanks so much again and I can’t wait to come back

Breakfast was very good expecially the coconut pancakes. The house is 10 minutes by walk from the main road, surrounded by a beautiful rice field.
