Renovated in 2018, the 4-star Hotel Alto Lido is located in Funchal’s prime area – Lido, 1.6 mi from the city center. Loved my stay at this hotel, it’s in the center where you can find many restaurants/shops and the mall is only 5min by walking. The staff were great and the breakfast had a good variety, it’s perfect for its price in Funchal!

As part of the Vila Porto Mare resort, this hotel offers 4 restaurants, 6 bars and 5 swimming pools. Porto Mare features an extensive tropical garden on the Atlantic oceanfront. Very beautiful well maintained property. Rooms, facilities and grounds were all well maintained. Staff were always helpful.

The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally located a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. Clean, spacious rooms and bathrooms. Beautiful pool and terrace area. Abundant and good quality breakfast. Good location for exploring Sao Martinho. Decent parking facilities too.

There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a 2-Michelin star restaurant and free... everything was amazing it’s a dream vacation destination , the breakfast in rose garden could not be better

Located in the heart of Funchal’s Lido area, this 4-star hotel is a short walk from the city center and features contemporary interiors and an outdoor pool with a terrace. The staff is very friendly, the location of the room is very good but most of all, the size and cleanest of the room! it was very spacious, and always super clean!

Located close to Funchal’s city center, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Meliã Madeira Mare offers free WiFi, an indoor and outdoor pool and a spa. Beautiful situation with perfectly clean and great sized room. Breakfast was varied and good as inclusive. Nice bar and pool areas. Convenient for buses to Funchal.also very convenient for good selection of restaurants close by.

Located in Lido, just a 5-minute walk from the oceanfront promenade in Funchal, the recently refurbished Allegro Madeira offers 2 restaurants, an outdoor pool, 360º rooftop bar, spa and fitness... Comfortable bed. Quiet surroundings. There was possibility to switch the room because we didn’t like to stay close to the bar. Friendly staff. Personalised attitude.

Featuring a bar, Vila Vicência is located in Funchal in the Madeira region, a 7-minute walk from Gorgulho - Gavinas Beach and 1.8 miles from Formosa Beach. Location was great. Lots of restaurants nearby. Short walk to the ocean
