Located in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Arashiama Bamboo Grove, MUNI KYOTO by Onko Chishin provides accommodation with a fitness centre, private parking, a garden and a terrace. From the facilities & the view (mountain view room, coupled with sakura season & great weather) to the breakfast selection and overall location (right next to Arashiyama's Katsura river), I would 100% recommend booking a stay at Muni. Did a daytrip from Tokyo but would return for a longer stay.

Ive been traveling frequently for the last 10 or so years. This hotel is easily in my top 5 hotels that Ive stayed at. Great service, the rooms are spacious, the location is perfect. Ive had the best sleep in this hotel. This time, I only booked for a night because we were passing by, but the next time I come, Im going to exclusively book this hotel. The staff is really nice and very welcoming. The hotel and the rooms - BY FAR - surpassed my expectations and looked even better in person. Ive gotten used to living in smaller rooms when coming to Japan, so this was a very welcome and surprising change from the standard- loved everything!

El Kadensho, Arashiyama Onsen, Kyoto - Kyoritsu Resort es troba molt ben situat al districte de Nishikyo Ward de Kyoto, a 1,6 km del bosc de bambú d'Arashiama, a 3,7 km del temple d'Otagi Nenbutsu-ji... The property is clean and quiet, and staffs are very nice, I told them it’s my birthday trip and they have arranged a room with some view and gave me birthday gift! Besides, the private Onsen is so nice and you can have a perfect experience about traditional Japanese lifestyle, I will certainly come back next time.

Located in Kyoto and with Arashiama Bamboo Grove reachable within 1.3 km, Yado Arashiyama -13歳以上限定- provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a restaurant. The breakfast was truly extraordinary -12 exquisitely prepared small dishes. The rooms are impeccable and there is a nice small lounge with eclectic decor. The location is superb, just out of the tourist fray of Arishiyama and a few steps from the trail along the river bank -- go early in the morning and you will be alone enjoying the pristine forest and river.

Attractively set in the Nishikyo Ward district of Kyoto, Riverside Arashiyama is set 3.5 km from Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple, 4.7 km from Katsura Imperial Villa and 7.9 km from Nijo Castle. It has the best location, and is clean and has a lot of room.

Renovated in 2014, Hotel Binario Saga Arashiyama offers a restaurant, a café and a public bath. JR Sagaarashiyama Train Station and Torokko Saga Station is just a minutes’ walk away. The location was the best right next to the station we came from only walked 150 feet right to my room

Ideally set in the Ukyo Ward district of Kyoto, Sun Members Kyoto Saga is situated 2.2 km from Arashiama Bamboo Grove, 3.7 km from Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple and 5.6 km from Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. I’d say this hotel is underrated. We stayed here when we visited places around/near Arashiyama so I won’t say that the location is bad. You just have to plan your trip and map it out. Staff were great, I can speak a little japanese but they can converse well in english, too. Room was great and spacious - and the sunrise view from our balcony was beyond perfect. The building is classic and well-maintained. They have a shuttle going to Saga Arashiyama station, but I don’t mind the 10-15 mins. morning walk.
