The staff were amazing, from a warm welcome to thoughtful touches in the room like a hand written welcome card. The room was enormous and so comfy with views of the mountains. The hotel was close to all the sites but away from the hustle and bustle and it was very well priced

Ubytovanie Hotel Arashiyama sa nachádza v destinácii Kyoto 16 min. chôdze od miesta Bambusový les Arashiama a 3,4 km od miesta Chrám Otagi Nenbutsu-ji. Amazing place, first of all -the location ,just 5 mins walk to the river and 10 mins to the bamboo.I would recommend to take a bus of you are coming from Kyoto station,it is just 3 mins walk from the hotel. it was super clean and the bed was amazing comfy,I need the same blanket home now!they give you kimono so u can feel the vibe !it was unexpected and super nice ,love it!

Situated right along the gentle streams of Katsura River and boasting a beautiful Japanese garden, Suiran, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kyoto offers the perfect getaway for travellers seeking peace and... A quiet and beautiful respite from the city. The garden and river views are lovely and the free champagne at the waterfront cafe after a long day of walking was greatly appreciated. The staff were welcoming and helpful every step of the way.

Renovated in 2014, Hotel Binario Saga Arashiyama offers a restaurant, a café and a public bath. JR Sagaarashiyama Train Station and Torokko Saga Station is just a minutes’ walk away. The location was the best right next to the station we came from only walked 150 feet right to my room

Only 5 minutes from JR Saga Arashiyama Station with the free shuttle, Sun Members Kyoto Saga offers Western rooms, free WiFi in all guest rooms and the lobby, and a restaurant. I’d say this hotel is underrated. We stayed here when we visited places around/near Arashiyama so I won’t say that the location is bad. You just have to plan your trip and map it out. Staff were great, I can speak a little japanese but they can converse well in english, too. Room was great and spacious - and the sunrise view from our balcony was beyond perfect. The building is classic and well-maintained. They have a shuttle going to Saga Arashiyama station, but I don’t mind the 10-15 mins. morning walk.
