This is one of the most beautiful and comfortable stay imaginable. Stay here if you can!!! The host greeted us (out of checkin hours) with an immeasurable amount of kindness. We basically just wanted to store our luggage, but the already had the room(s) ready. First we entered a room which we thought, was some.kind of welcome area. Turned out it was our living room. Additionally we had a traditional sleeping room and separate bathroom/toilets. Their care for the facilities and love for details, made us fall in love with the place. They gave us recommendations on activities and even a lift to the train station.

Just a 3-minute walk from JR Nikko Train Station, Guesthouse Sumica offers beds in dormitory rooms, as well as Japanese-style private rooms. It features a shared kitchen and free tea and coffee. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the whole building. Very nice location with a very friendly owner. Facilities are clean and the dorm room perfect. Wish I would have stayed longer. In the evening, the owner even invited all guests to do some little fireworks outside :)
