B&B Izumi Nikko features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Nikko, 2.4 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine. I loved the option to choose between European and Japanese brrakfast and how friendly and helpful Izumi was. Also the water spring and forest view from the room

Yoshi the host was very helpful and friendly. He went out and bought some medicine for my nephew who was sick from the pharmacy. All he asked was we write him a good review, which I would have done anyways regardless. We were the only people there our first night. It was close to the supermarket and fairly close to the train station. I have no regrets about choosing this place. Yoshi runs an excellent guest house. This is only place I've been to where the owner also runs a photography studio, I wasn't interested but it looked like he did good work. (We were there in December so I don't know what it is like at other times of year.)

The Midorian had this unquantifiable fairy-tale quality to itself. Nestled in the heart of the mountains, surrounded by a cool river, under the care of a noble man.

This is one of the most beautiful and comfortable stay imaginable. Stay here if you can!!! The host greeted us (out of checkin hours) with an immeasurable amount of kindness. We basically just wanted to store our luggage, but the already had the room(s) ready. First we entered a room which we thought, was some.kind of welcome area. Turned out it was our living room. Additionally we had a traditional sleeping room and separate bathroom/toilets. Their care for the facilities and love for details, made us fall in love with the place. They gave us recommendations on activities and even a lift to the train station.

Just a 3-minute walk from JR Nikko Train Station, Guesthouse Sumica offers beds in dormitory rooms, as well as Japanese-style private rooms. It features a shared kitchen and free tea and coffee. Very nice location with a very friendly owner. Facilities are clean and the dorm room perfect. Wish I would have stayed longer. In the evening, the owner even invited all guests to do some little fireworks outside :)

Slippers only throughout the building, and the two private (lockable) onsens were a highlight for my partner and myself with tattoos. You're able to select from a number of bakery options and drinks the night before, and they will have it ready for you in the morning.
