The owner is very friendly and helpful. She showed us places where we could eat and gave us a map with the bus timetable. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy. I think it was my best sleep in any hotel I have ever stayed in. There is also an electric heater under the futon, if you need one. Just like other reviewers mentioned, In the morning we were given a breakfast that was not included in the price. It contained meat, bread, multiple vegetables and fruits. Again, the best breakfast I ever had.

Traditional provided breakfasts were wonderful. She even drove us to a shrine on the first day to make sure we could get to it before it closed. This was a perfect stay house for a couple looking to get away from the bustle of a hotel.

They are knowledgeable and gave us wonderful suggestions about what we could see in Nikko.

Comfortable and clean accommodation. The staff person was very nice and made sure we had what we needed. Good location, walkable to many sights and cafes.

We absolutely loved our stay at B&B Izumi Nikko, and Izumi-san was an exceptional host. He answered all of my questions promptly before the trip and kindly gave us rides to and from the train station, as well as to dinner. The Japanese breakfast he prepared was delicious and filling with the freshest ingredients. The traditional room was perfect, offering a serene escape. It includes a lovely bath and large room to unwind after a busy day of hiking. We enjoyed our coffee in the morning on the private balcony sitting out by the beautiful creek and we even saw some wild deer. The location is also a quick walk to a bus stop that we took up to Lake Chuzenji so it was very convenient. Our stay was definitely a highlight of our 3-weeks in Japan. Thank you Izumi-san for such a wonderful stay!

Fantastic location, wonderful and helpful host - it felt like home. The pictures on the booking site does not do this place justice - it was so nice. And there is even a light breakfast.

A small and charming guesthouse with very helpful owners. They provided a hand-drawn map with detailed information about traveling in Nikko and suggested the best areas to visit during that time. The accommodation is affordable and offers excellent value for the price.

Külalistemaja Sumica asub JR Nikko raudteejaamast vaid 3-minutilise jalutuskäigu kaugusel ning pakub nii ühistubades kui ka Jaapani stiilis privaatsetes tubades voodikohti. Friendly staff lots of great suggestions where to go, lovely accommodation, it was one of my favorite stays on my whole trip. I will stay here when I return.
