It was located perfectly so you’re not in the middle of everything but close enough to food and cafes. The private loft was so cute! Great value.

Family run hostel, they were very kind and helpful! Gave many recommendations. Offered us to join a coffee night in English to chat with the locals. Get tea and coffee. We shared a four bedroom bunk, shared bathrooms and shower. All were clean and maintained. Shower had great pressure and lots of hot water. There is a kitchen and lounge area.

Owner is beyond amazing. The definition of the extreme hospitality you’ll find in Nikko! Even though breakfast is not included, she made us the most wonderful breakfast including fresh persimmons from her own tree! Even gave us small gifts that she made herself! House is beautiful and very well maintained. Super clean! Cleanest hostel / home share I have ever been to. Rooms are massive! Large living space and a separate large bedroom all to yourself. Plus the shared kitchen and washrooms. And location is great! Super close to the Train station / main bus loop, but far enough to be nice and quiet!

The host was very welcoming and accommodating. Traditional provided breakfasts were wonderful. She even drove us to a shrine on the first day to make sure we could get to it before it closed. This was a perfect stay house for a couple looking to get away from the bustle of a hotel.

The location is great for those who have cars. The property is right in front of Kanmangafuchi Abyss parking lot, which guests can conveniently use the parking. The room has a nice view of Daiya River.
For travelers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms might be shared by other guests, and there's usually shared space with the host.
Great location, super friendly host/staff, comfy beds, clean and tidy public spaces, very quiet at night even though it’s next to the train station.
Had a very relaxing stay there, thank you!
Lovely, clean and quiet place. Izumi was a great host. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. We had the privilege to see a mother deer with its fawn from our deck, it was spectacular. We highly recommend this beautiful stay.
Great location just in front of the lake-gorgeous lounge with free drinks and cookies for all the guests both private rooms and hostel sectuon, unfortunately no japanese breakfast available at the hotel
Location is very good, close to most of the main temples in the area and a few nice restaurants nearby. The hotel is simple yet charming and well kept and the private Japanese bath is a plus. Staff is friendly.
Quiet scenic location. Everything walking distance. There are several restaurants near by. We didn’t have breakfast at the property so can’t comment. Lovely private onsen. First come first serve. Next to the river so can watch the river flowing by from the onsen.
Kanmangafuchi Abyss starts at the hotel. Don’t miss it.
Great hosts who went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. Spotless house, quiet location, beautiful touches to make it feel homely, an awesome bath that stays hot and fills automatically- the best bath I have ever had! Hosts had information including timetables for buses, shows at edo wonderland at their finger tips. Walking distance - 5mins to bus stop and only 10mins tops to train station. Host also took us to the train station in their private car - very friendly, polite and helpful. Loved our stay and wish we stayed longer.
Great location for visiting the shrines and temples. Quiet and cosy, old style and comforting. Free tea and coffee and use of tableware if you want to eat your own food. Friendly owner with great advice about where to visit and where to eat. Spotless shared washrooms. Great private Japanese style baths for a good soak at the end of the day. Easy access by bus from the station.
I enjoyed the breakfast of toast, an egg, fruit, and coffee (not included in my room price); it was perhaps a little pricey but very convenient.
