The owners of the property are both so lovely and welcoming when you arrive. The rooms are huge, very very clean and beautifully decorated. The winner is the garden though, it is absolutely beautiful and such a nice place to relax and spot monkeys and other wildlife. It is about a 3.5km walk to the cloud forest and although it’s a bit out of Santa Elena there are nice restaurants and bakeries next door. There is also a big kitchen that is well stocked with cooking equipment etc. The hosts also provide you with a coffee maker in your room and coffee each day. It’s a really fantastic place to stay.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! great swimming pool and slide, space for little kids, great staff very supportive and cheerful. Very close to park entrance and the beach. We wish we could stay for longer than just 2 night.

Boasting pool with a view and views of mountain, Villas en el Bosque is a recently renovated villa situated in Ojochal, 1.2 km from Tortuga. This property offers access to a terrace, darts, free private parking and free WiFi. The villa has family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. Hostess Vanessa is so caring, relaxed and cool, we immediately felt at home. The walk to the beach is a great adventure (15 minutes through the jungle), we were able to observe great animals almost continuously (monkeys without end!). Great breakfast, great view from the balcony, overall a very good vibe there. Supermarket and fine restaurants are right next door, we definitely recommend staying here for a few nights.

The nearest airport is Tambor Airport, 68 km from Green Forest Rustic Houses. Excellent accommodation in a private, gated area with three houses. Keys are collected from the reception of a property meters down the road. The pool was heated and an unexpectedly great amenity after long days hiking through cloud forests or going to adventure parks. We prepared our own meals in the kitchen, which was reasonably provisioned. A dehumidifier in the property was a great addition and while there was no air conditioning, it wasn't needed during our July visit. Quiet, clean and overall a great home during our stay in Monteverde. Parking on site and behind the gate is provided for each house.

Fitted with a patio and playground for kids next to you the house, the units feature a private bathroom with shower. A toaster oven and fridge are also featured, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. great location, 10min walk to center, amazing hospitality from Lidia and her daughters esp Sofia. a nice kitchenette was really helpful as well.
