Very attentive with organising activities and helping with booking ferries and parking. We got a pickup at the beach when we arrived by the hostess Pamela. The local dogs are very cute and come to say hello every now and then. The rooms were clean and the air conditioners worked well. The location is absolutely perfect.

A real heaven. The apartment is new, very well furnished and extremely comfortable, even more than you can expect. Perfect cleaning. The location is astonishing. The house is surrounded by a very nice, large and well-kept garden, visited by many birds and mammals. The beach is more or less 150 meters from the house and is a postcard place: kilometers of sand with palm trees, no people around. The place is also a perfect starting point to explore the nearby Corcovado National Park and for whale watching tours. The hosts Karin and Nony really went out of their way to help us preparing our travel, with really a lot of info and useful tips. Unfortunately Nony was not present in the very days of our visit so we missed the tours with him and couldn’t enjoy his knowledge of the ecosystems and of the area. However Karin was always attentive and helpful, a really perfect host. She also shared the fruits of the garden with us and transmitted us her enthusiasm for living there, surrounded by such a luxuriant nature. A beautiful experience, both naturalistically and humanly.

The house is in a quite remote location. Though not far from the main road, but at least 8km from the nearest shop. The very steep path down from the road probably cannot be negociated without a 4x4. If you arrive by bus, drop off at the Restaurante Ventana del Golfo, the entrance is just some 50m further down the road.
All rooms are very clean and spacious, the high wood ceilings only add to this. In the very well equipped kitchen we did find every tool one could possibly need for preparing the meals but you have to bring all supplies, even salt etc.
The layout of the house is not very clear fom the pictures. It's u-shaped away from the terrace with the large eating/living room taking 2/3 of the front part and the other 1/3 to the left by one bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is in the right wing to the back and fully open to the main room. The other bedroom/bathroom is separated in the left wing to the back and reachable via the inner court.
Down in the immense and well kept garden is a new place near the beach with a roof on pillars and a few hammocks, it's a wonderful place to relax. The water on the beach is very calm and safe to swim and it teems with edible fish of all sizes. Sadly we couldn't get hold of fishing gear but saw a couple of very friendly locals catch a lot of small bonitos.
A canoe or two to use on the golfo would have been a very nice feature to explore the surroundings. At low tide you have to walk through a lot of mud in the water before it's deep enough to swim but on high tide it's ok.
There is almost no cell service around the house and no Wifi and I consider this a feature, not a bug :)

The house is really nice, you have a clean kitchen, good shower with a good pressure. But the best part is the host, Alvaro. He is very nice and will arrange everything for you.

Fantastic! We splashed out on room 5 and had a superb time. Air conditioning was perfect for the very hot and humid weather and the private pool was excellent - we were in it a lot. The view over the bay was stunning and we were inundated with amazing birds. We loved having a fridge, microwave and coffee machine as it made the whole experience more like an apartment. All in all we had a fabulous 5 nights
The family that owns the Villa are very friendly. The view is amazing!. Lots of bird watching! Room with view is a must. Will certainly come back here if we travel to Drake Bay again
The owner (Miguel) and his staff was the best part, he was so helpful and genuinely wanted your experience to be the best. From example, he picked us up and dropped us at the beach, he recommended a day out horse riding with Pepe which was so good, home cooked lunch and waterfall swimming was so memorable.
The hotel is clearly a passion, and is not for those looking for luxury (no AC), but that's the point, more in touch with nature
Norma was a lovely host, super helpful and nice to chat to, shared her home with me and showed me some of the local area, and helped me book a tour to La Sirena. Breakfast was traditional and tasty. Quiet location just beyond the village.
I loved the village , it felt relatively safe and it gave more freedom for alone hike on trail along coast. I loved terrace and The view . And Leo is a great host , taking good care of his guests.
The area of hotel was amazing! A garden with lots of animals, aguti, birds- ara parrots, colibers. I loved to wake up very early and watch it on our balcony. The owners were very friendly, they gave us a drive from the boat. The hotel is at the end of this small village and that makes it much more charming. The air conditioner is only in bedroom but it wasn’t obstacle for us.
Great breakfast, accomodating for us vegans! Great views from the room and the breakfast area, lots of birds and other wildlife about, Josue was very friendly and helpful, he helped book our tours and an unforeseen dentist appointment. He was very quick to reply to any questions we had. Having our own private pool was incredible, and well needed after the walk up to the room! Just a short walk to the beach and the local shops/restaurants.
Whaou, what to say... It was an amazing stay, the view was truly a dream and the private pool on the terrasse such a luxury!! The breakfast was nice (and included in the price) and le staff helpfull to book the boats tickets for example. It was the best place we stayed in during our stay, don't hesistate and treat yourself to it, the sunsets are the best

- for tours, you can arrange them via the host and he can arrange for pickup and dropoff at the nearby Caletas beach. I highly recommend snorkeling at Isla del Caño.
