YerbaBuena Modern Stay in the Cloud Forest offers accommodation for small and large families and groups. This property is absolutely stunning. The owners of the property are both so lovely and welcoming when you arrive. The rooms are huge, very very clean and beautifully decorated. The winner is the garden though, it is absolutely beautiful and such a nice place to relax and spot monkeys and other wildlife. It is about a 3.5km walk to the cloud forest and although it’s a bit out of Santa Elena there are nice restaurants and bakeries next door. There is also a big kitchen that is well stocked with cooking equipment etc. The hosts also provide you with a coffee maker in your room and coffee each day. It’s a really fantastic place to stay.

Featuring garden views, Bungalows Ballena features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, an indoor pool and a garden, around 70 metres from Uvita Beach. The cabin was very spacious and clean, no issues with water or any other commodities. We had a couple of rainy nights which were superb to listen to under the cabin roof. All cabin commodities were great, including the tasty courtesy coffee.

Boasting pool with a view and views of mountain, Villas en el Bosque is a recently renovated villa situated in Ojochal, 1.2 km from Tortuga. Hostess Vanessa is so caring, relaxed and cool, we immediately felt at home. The walk to the beach is a great adventure (15 minutes through the jungle), we were able to observe great animals almost continuously (monkeys without end!). Great breakfast, great view from the balcony, overall a very good vibe there. Supermarket and fine restaurants are right next door, we definitely recommend staying here for a few nights.

Bungalow was very cute and clean, good location (ten minutes walk from town or less), AMAZING host! Sofia brought us fresh fruit each morning, gave us loads of good recommendations, helped us to book shuttles, even helped us with our laundry. Thank you for everything Sofia! For lunch or dinner, we would recommend Taco Station (a neighbour’s takeaway business), Manolo’s and (best of all) Soda de Armistad. Plus the original canopy tour!
