Boasting an open-air bath and views of mountain, Onsen Guest House Tsutaya is a recently renovated ryokan situated in Hakone, 6.5 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and private parking is available on site. The accommodation features a lift, a shared kitchen and luggage storage for guests. The view from the lounge area was jst outstanding...kitchen had all the basic crockery n amenities which were required to cook food..the place was silent n cleann..😊😊

Air-conditioned rooms feature a tatami (woven-straw) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread to sleep in. Amenities include an LCD TV, fridge, a safe and yukata robes. All rooms have a private toilet and washbasin, while bathroom facilities are shared. Green tea sets with snacks are provided. All the meals where excellent. I stayed in a nice japenese style room. The onsen was available voor 23 hours. Great in helpingto get around if you want information about sightseeing and busses

Main Dining Room "The Fujiya" serves French cuisine in an elegant space. Restaurant Cascade offers Western dishes, while Kikka-so serves traditional Japanese kaiseki dinners. A bar, lounge and bakery are available. Everything was just simply amazing, best hotel experience, highly recommended to ANYONE. Onsen on the top floor was fantastic, must try the Japanese traditional breakfast in the morning!!!
Gora Onsen, Hakone

A very nice big hotel room with a nice shower and we had a private outdoors onsen which was perfectly sized, heated, and with an aesthetic view.

Everthing is perfect. Due to heavy rain we had to change our itinerary and arrived the property quite early. Yet staff still let us stay at lobby until check-in is available even though they were still cleaning. They tried every effort to meet our needs.
When checking in, what welcomed us is the extremely clean, tidy and spacious modernised Japanese style room.
The facilities are not gonna let you down. Everything in this property all shows the Omotenashi from the owner/operator.

What a wonderful opportunity to stay in a beautiful traditional Japanese inn. We loved the atmosphere and the history of this ryokan. The care and attention of all the staff was first class. We especially liked the evening meal, the onsen and the firefly tour.
Owner helpful and stored bags before check in. Great ryokan experience with lovely views from my window over the mountains. Microwave and hot water available downstairs. Futon beds comfy when stacked up. Close to train station and regular buses from end of the road. Onsen was great, especially outdoor onsen and tattoo friendly.
For us it was the perfect stay in a Japanese ryokan - spacious room with tatami and a low table and comfortable floor-low chairs, very comfortable (and large) futons, house yukata and jacket, relaxing onsen bath every evening … and an overwhelming variety of delicious food for dinner and breakfast, some of which was cooked on little stoves on the table. For us it was the perfect choice for a very clean ryokan with very friendly and attentive staff.
It was our first time staying at a Ryokan and it exceeded our expectations the room was traditional japanese room with tatami and at the upper level we had our futons. The onsen bath was refreshing and calming. The food was so delicous and well portioned and locally sourced. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer.
Staff were polite and helpful, are English competent. Loved the traditional dinner and breakfast and the experience of wearing yukatas everywhere, traditional Japanese public bathing facilities, the outdoor onsen after dinner where you can gaze up at the stars before falling asleep on futons in a tatami room. We had fantastic view of the mountains from our window. Quiet location.
I've appreciated the traditional style of the place; I wanted to experience staying one night in a ryokan. The futon, the tatami and the typical furniture of the room, everything was there. The onsen was also pleasant. My best memory is the kindness of the secund man who helped me whenever needed, the efforts he made to communicate with me to provide me with all information.
The ryokan is centrally located in Ueno and convenient for the University of Tokyo. It's a ryokan, so you get a low futon and tatami mats on the floor. They also provide you with a yukata to wear indoors. The owners are lovely, and arranged a late check-in for me without any difficulty. It is excellent value for the price.
Amazing facilities. You get to experience a lot as you get complementary yukatas and access to an amazing onsen. The rooms are very well furnished and the tatami mats and futons are a must experience
The traditional Ryokan was what we searched for and we were happy to receive the full experience with yukata's and futons. We had a personal toilet for the room (not in the room itself but we expected a shared one) And we were lucky with the onsens as we could use them both times by ourselves. The food was delicious and a good introduction to traditional Japanese food
A very traditional Japanese inn (ryokan). The outdoor hot spring (onsen) is fabulous. The food quality in the restaurant is very high at this price range. The staff is very friendly and they can speak English well.
