The Edo Sakura, inaugurat el juny del 2013, ofereix allotjament en una casa d'estil japonès machiya, Wi-Fi gratuïta a tot arreu i vista sobre un jardí tradicional. Personal molt amable i amb molt bon anglès. Les habitacions són precioses, netes i no hi ha soroll. Els esmorzars són boníssims, tant els japonesos com els europeus. L'experiència de dormir en futons t'apropa a la cultura tradicional japonesa. La localització és espectacular, en un barri tranquil però molt ben connectat tan amb metro con trens JR.

Opened in 1878, Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. The hotel itself is absolutely exceptional, and probably the most impressive luxury hotel I've ever stayed. If you enjoy the history exploration and the Japanese-western style, Fujiya definitely will be a great fit. The hotel finished its renovation 2 years ago and everything is in good condition. You can experience its glory and rich history since the majority of areas are free to explore for staying guests. (Do not miss its museum, library and garden. The swimming pool is a bit small, and personally I quite enjoyed its style.) In fact, my friends and I spent so much time exploring the hotel itself, the time spent in Fujiya hotel eventually became the highlight of our Hakone trip.

Set in Hakone, Centurion Hakone Bettei offers 4-star accommodation with private balconies. There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The ryokan is up the mountain but they will provide you pick up and drop off service daily. Room is clean, well equipped and upscale. Breakfast and dinner is amazing. I spent 2 nights here. The private open air bath is really nice. Would stay here again if I am in the area.

Boasting a hot tub, Hakone Miyanoshita Myojokan is set in Hakone. The 3-star ryokan features mountain views and is 6.2 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. It was located in a quiet and peaceful area. The room was very clean, and spacious. The onsen, though small, was comfortable and lovely. The hotel manager really helped by recommending an itinerary and provided us with a lot of useful information. He was also a lovely man to have a chat with. Very kind and considerate.

Situated in Tokyo, 300 metres from Asakusa Fujiasama Shrine and 7.5 km from the centre, cyashitsu ryokan asakusa features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and an open-air bath. Overall, such a unique experience. The attention to detail, professionalism and genuine care of staff made this a wonderful stay! And the traditional breakfast…wow! Even the teenagers loved it. Dinner at the associated restaurant was also delicious. After a long day, it was helpful to have reservations and a short, beautiful walk to unwind. We will definitely return to stay here.
