The look, the decoration, the room. The employees were supernice. Even though they wore masks most of the time, there are certain people who somehow can smile with their eyes.

Opened in 1878, Fujiya Hotel features Meiji Era architecture set in Hakone’s natural beauty. The hotel itself is absolutely exceptional, and probably the most impressive luxury hotel I've ever stayed. If you enjoy the history exploration and the Japanese-western style, Fujiya definitely will be a great fit. The hotel finished its renovation 2 years ago and everything is in good condition. You can experience its glory and rich history since the majority of areas are free to explore for staying guests. (Do not miss its museum, library and garden. The swimming pool is a bit small, and personally I quite enjoyed its style.) In fact, my friends and I spent so much time exploring the hotel itself, the time spent in Fujiya hotel eventually became the highlight of our Hakone trip.

The ryokan is up the mountain but they will provide you pick up and drop off service daily. Room is clean, well equipped and upscale. Breakfast and dinner is amazing. I spent 2 nights here. The private open air bath is really nice. Would stay here again if I am in the area.

Hakone Miyanoshita Myojokan menawarkan penginapan di Hakone berhampiran Stesen Kowakudani dan Muzium Terbuka Hakone. It was located in a quiet and peaceful area. The room was very clean, and spacious. The onsen, though small, was comfortable and lovely. The hotel manager really helped by recommending an itinerary and provided us with a lot of useful information. He was also a lovely man to have a chat with. Very kind and considerate.

The attention to detail, professionalism and genuine care of staff made this a wonderful stay! And the traditional breakfast…wow! Even the teenagers loved it. Dinner at the associated restaurant was also delicious. After a long day, it was helpful to have reservations and a short, beautiful walk to unwind. We will definitely return to stay here.
