The best thing about this hotel is the staff. I’ll return so many times to Japan due to how wonderful Japan is, and the people. Especially at this hotel: at check in I mistakenly paid JPY300K instead of JPY30K but Mr. Kikuchi at reception kindly gave me back ¥270K. I was and I am soo impressed and thankful to Mr. Kikuchi 🙏. Then at check out I forgot my iPad in the room. When I came back in the evening to get my stored suitcase, the hotel returned it to me while I still didn’t know I’ve left it in room. Thank you so much to the housekeeper of my room. Staff performance at Metropolitan Kawasaki deserve all the brightest stars in the sky 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Location of the hotel is super convenient as it is just 2-3 mins walk from/to Yokohama Station for transport to many tourist spots in Kanagawa pref and Tokyo metro. However the walking path from within Yokohama Station toward the hotel could be a bit confuisng to new comer due to many exits in the station.

The staff was kind enough to check up on us during an earthquake in Kanagawa, as it would have affected our check-in time. The check-in process is easy. The hotel lobby is nicely decorated.
The location of this hotel is awesome! Close to the action in city and yet very quiet away from all the busyness. Their breakfast is amazing 🤩
Very nice hotel with great view, great meals and great onsan. The stuff was very kind. The room was comfortable and we had all we need for our stay.

The hotel is nestled between the mountain, has an excellent view and offers free access to a few onsen options. The room comes with buffet style half board which is really good quality.
Plenty of amenities: free bar and tea, big rooms and good location. Perfect Japanese style breakfast. Free shuttle service from Gora station to the hotel (it's uphill!).

The ryokan and its location were spectacular. Our Japanese style room was spacious and very traditional. We had a good view of the river and forest behind the ryokan. We had dinner here for two evenings and it was an experience on its own.
The view of Mt. Fuji from the window was awesome. and we also enjoyed the onsen. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel.
We loved our room! It was larger than we had expected, the beds were super comfy, and the hot spring bath on the deck was a perfect choice for us. Also, the hotel also has a bus stop directly in front of their parking lot so it made getting around easy.

The hotel is set high on a hill overlooking Enoshima Island and Mt. Fuji. The view is, simply, stunning. The village is a quiet little seaside town, which suited us perfectly. The electric train runs along the coast, linking the little towns to Kamakura. The hotel has is a swimming pool (closed when we were there), a golf driving range next door, and a lot of sea activities, such a surfing and small boat/board sailing. It would be a great spot for a few days of R&R from whirlwind touring. The hotel offers a free bus service to and from the local station, but you can walk to anywhere in the village, where there is a (limited) range of restaurants - the food we tried was excellent. The hotel also serves meals. Our room was large and comfortable, with a good amount of clothes storage, a full-size closet, a desk/make-up space and good mirror, a coffee table and chairs, and a small balcony. The bathroom is also large, with a generous sized bathtub. Everything was sparkling clean. Reception and other staff were friendly and very welcoming; communication was easy as many spoke good English. If you decide to stay, book a landmark view room on the 4th floor. Well worth the extra price. But, be warned Fuji-san is not always in view, we had a lot of sea mist on our visit so you may only get half the view you’ve paid for.

It was an incredible experience
We enjoyed the Onsen and the great traditional dinner and breakfast. Very close to the train station and ropeway.
Service was great, staff was very friendly and spoke sufficient english. There are free yukata's which you can use to walk around in the hotel. We had a private onsen in our room but we also tried the public one. The private onsen is a bit small but fine for 1 person, the public onsen was quite spacious and you could go inside or outside which had a great view of the stars in the sky at night. Dinner and breakfast was included and offered sufficient choices in buffet style. Location was near a bus stop and was easy to find. Nearby there is a hiking trail and some local restaurants for food. Also you could walk to the cable car which bring you to the volcano Owakudani.
Place was clean, staff was friendly and the rooms was really good for the price. I recommend place and next time I am in Kawasaki I will go here again!
