We enjoyed our stay at The Kings Head Hotel. It is a great location for exploring beautiful North Yorkshire and the Moors. We were warmly welcomed by Bob, and found all the staff to be very friendly. Breakfast was included in our booking and was very nice, with a good selection and plenty of tea and coffee. We also had two evening meals during our stay, which were excellent. There was a good hospitality tray in our room. We had a twin room with comfy beds, and the shower was hot with a nice range of toiletries.
Our favourite hotel in North Yorkshire beautiful surroundings and views. The room was very spacious with a wonderful large comfy bed lots of attention to detail such as a Dyson hairdryer and chocolates from the chocolate maker across the road at the Talbot yard. The hotel actually feels like you’re in a large country/town house for the weekend but with excellent staff who were friendly and helpful ( especially the barman and breakfast staff). Looking forward to another stay soon!

A wonderful Country House Hotel set on the outskirts of Burythorpe - North Yorkshire - Hotel was spotlessly clean and very comfortable in all areas - Excellent staff with a special mention for Jill and Alison the Manager who is passionate about good customer service and this shines through in all departments - Cuisine was excellent with good choices for all meals and well prepared and presented. - Good selection of drinks from the bar at sensible prices
The location is great as a base for exploring North Yorkshire . The apartments site is on the A61 with good connections to the A1M and Thirsk station is five minutes walk away. . The apartments are comfortable,functional,and finished to a high standard and very clean . The owners who manage the site were attentive to our needs and very friendly . This is my second visit and wouldn't hesitate to book accommodation here on future visits
Very peaceful small Hotel, excellent breakfast, beautiful gardens to walk around and sit for an early evening drink. out room was a superior double, very quiet, large comfy bed (nice and firm) small balcony overlooking the gardens and for miles in the distance over the north yorkshire moors, we didn't stay for dinner, as i had a meeting in pickering, but the evening menu looked very interesting.
Scarborough
The hotel room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The views were incredible and our daughter loved seeing the piglets being fed in the morning! Breakfast was home cooked and absolutely delicious. We will definitely be booking again in future as it was so peaceful. The perfect place to unwind, but within easy reach of the lovely North Yorkshire seaside resorts.
Thirsk
Located in the centre of Thirsk within easy walking distance to all amenities and the superb North Yorkshire countryside. Geoff is very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and beyond. We slept well in a comfortable well presented room, ate a hearty full English breakfast each morning, and look forward to returning to the Hotel again in the summer.
Excellent location and very friendly helpful staff. It appears that the hotel has been recently been refurbished to a very modern tasteful style. I would recommend the hotel to others who are wanting to visit the many attractions of North Yorkshire

Northallerton
Good breakfast and good evening meals. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Room was comfortable but not what I was expecting. Ideal location for visiting North Yorkshire and North East. Near to Northallerton railway station.
Pickering
Everything about the hotel was excellent, beautiful room and fantastic food. You need a car as there is nothing in the village but it is very close to Pickering and other North Yorkshire attractions.
Good central location for exploring North Yorkshire. Rural setting with easy free parking. Lots of options for breakfast and delicious evening meals. Staff were all super friendly and very helpful.
Northallerton
This is a fantastic pub/hotel set in a gorgeous North Yorkshire village. The staff and management were great and couldn’t have been more welcoming.
