My first room was in the old building and facing the main road. It was very disappointing, run down, cold and no hot water. When I mentioned it to the lady in reception she couldn’t have been any kinder and moved me to another room in the new block straight away. The new room was lovely and what I had expected, bed was huge and very comfy, room was lovely and quiet, the shower was decent and hot. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. Loads of onsite parking available.

We stopped in a pod and it was absolutely beautiful, everything was perfect. There wasn't anything to criticise. Lovely and clean, well laid out, underfloor heating and a very comfortable bed.
The food in the pub was outstanding as well and the leisure facilities a very welcome bonus.
It's an ideal place to stay and unwind, or explore the beautiful local countryside.

Recently changed ownership but still up to the high standards. Nothing’s changed and neither did it need to. New owners are very friendly and welcoming. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cooked options as well as cereal, toast, orange juice, tea and coffee. Had an evening meal in the restaurant which was superb, great range of drinks too. Will be staying here again.

The property was nothing short of superb. Everything we needed for a short family trip. The beds were incredibly comfy, bathroom amazing with super shower and kitchen was incredibly well stocked with utensils for cooking ease. All complimented with how clean it was and lovely touch of a real decorated Christmas tree.

favorite places were probably the cafe,s and pubs we ate in all a good standard but sometimes pushing the prices. It is easy to walk around Skipton but the traffic can be heavy and you have to watch when you step off the kerb. plenty to do for all ages and persuasions. shops galore, castle. cinema. lots of nook and cranny streets with interesting shops. canal trips and barge hire. Good bus and train station for trips to other places. market on a Monday and probably other days too. Walkers paradise. Lovely steam train ride from Embsay to Bolton Abbey.

Very picturesque countryside and Skipton itself is a nice little town to base oneself in and explore the surrounding areas. The Yorkshire Dales are as good as their reputation we had heard of before going there.

Quirky original hotel with large rooms and great spa facilities. Restaurant and bar in hotel so everything you need to relax. The restaurant has a gorgeous view over the canal. Also views of the hills in all directions. Lovely walk along the canal from the hotel into Skipton.
There is a great breakfast selection of hot and cold food.
