The amazing staff personalized my whole stay with what I like to eat and which animals I want to see today. I felt very special because of their highest level customer service. The place is located in the middle of the jungle, so you can get all the animals coming to your door. I got civets, bats and broadbill birds. The food is amazing and the whole experience is great. The place just reopened so all the bedding and towels are freshly new, the same with boat and life jackets. My bed was hard, but I really liked it this way. There is internet in the restaurant/ chilling area.

Located in Mantanani Island, GreenHouse Lodge provides accommodation with access to a garden. The property boasts reusable plastic materials, using energy-saving lighting and conserving rainwater. The best stay I’ve had in years! 🏝️This is truly a relaxing Island experience and an opportunity for you to unwind in a secluded location. Thank you Sook Peng and Fred for helping my stay feels like home! They have arranged the transfer quite seamlessly, I got picked up from the hotel early morning to the pier and then to the island. The view is truly amazing as the lodge is right in front of the sea. They have everything you need for this Island: kayaks, snorkel masks, beach mats and coconuts (and beer which is a rare commodity in the island)! Thank you Sook Peng for the wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s wonderful to enjoy a hearty home-cooked meal by the sea. I also get to taste some delicious farm-to-table vegetables they’ve grown from their aquaponics farm ♥️ I’ve enjoyed my time on the island, there’s a dive centre 5-min walk from the lodge and it’s convenient if you’d like to join a dive or two. My room is right in front of the sea with a little garden, sun lounge area and a private entrance to the beach. You’re surrounded by nature and animals, I’ve seen cats, cows, tree frogs, big green turtles and more. Just be prepared for mosquitos at night, you can spray the room before you leave for dinner, I’ve also bought a “Deep Woods” repellent and some repellent wristbands which comes in quite handy. There’s no aircon in the room but the island breeze does help, the room is well-ventilated and there’s a fan and cooling machine in the room. Truly an amazing getaway, I must come back again!

Set atop a 100 metre hill overlooking the Kinabatangan Forest Reserve, The Last Frontier Boutique Resort is located in Bilit, and is located a 2 hour drive from the beautiful Sandakan. A boutique resort on top of the hill with good views. This resort is well maintained and clean. The team is helpful and friendly, and the food was delicious with good mix of local and western. We had an amazing stay and river cruises with them.

Bayu Senja Lodge se află în localitatea Kundasang din regiunea Sabah și pune la dispoziție cazare cu WiFi gratuit și parcare privată gratuită. Extremely helpful staff members - did our washing for us with a rapid turn around, moved our suitcases to our new room on the second night, helped us with transport to the national park etc. Clean rooms with efficient fan and comfortable beds. Free bottled water provided, with beautiful views of sunset from kitchen and terrace. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Nulu View Cabin se află în Kundasang. Se oferă la locație parcare privată. Unele unități au o terasă cu vedere la munte, o bucătărie complet utilată și o baie proprie cu bideu. This place had a beautiful view of Mt. Kinabatangan and the owners were really nice.

Kinabatangan Wildlife Lodge se află în Sandakan și are un bar. Se oferă la locație WiFi gratuit și parcare privată. Fiecare unitate are o baie proprie cu cadă, un uscător de păr și papuci de casă. Great experience! Definitely recommend the night hike and the cruises

Maglami-lami Water House se găsește în Semporna și oferă unități de cazare cu balcon. Oaspeții au la dispoziție o baie proprie complet echipată, cu bideu și papuci de casă. Great view, great food, great location, fun and warm staff (special thanks to Jim , Dana and Liza). Comfortable room with lots of fishes just by snorkeling around the resorts.

Howard has created a beautiful lodge intertwined with the surrounding environment, going above and beyond for any guests needs, the wildlife reserve he has created is fantastic for bird spotting and if you're lucky enough to be there when he does his edible and medicinal plants tour and traditional rungus lunch don't hesitate.

Nestled along the bank of the Kinabatangan River and tropical lush greenery, the Borneo Natural Sukau Bilit Resort is an eco-resort located in the village of Bilit, Malaysia. The 2 nights, 3 days I stayed here were some of the best days of my life! Absolutely incredible - we went for the nature and were not disappointed - we saw the Borneo Big 5 plus TONS more. Our guide Ryan was the best - his eagle eye and determination meant we were able to see all this. The staff were super friendly and catered for my vegan diet, accommodation is very basic but this is perfect for a few days off the grid, rooms were clean and comfy we even had a large Gecko for company :)
