The best stay I’ve had in years! 🏝️This is truly a relaxing Island experience and an opportunity for you to unwind in a secluded location. Thank you Sook Peng and Fred for helping my stay feels like home! They have arranged the transfer quite seamlessly, I got picked up from the hotel early morning to the pier and then to the island. The view is truly amazing as the lodge is right in front of the sea. They have everything you need for this Island: kayaks, snorkel masks, beach mats and coconuts (and beer which is a rare commodity in the island)! Thank you Sook Peng for the wonderful breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s wonderful to enjoy a hearty home-cooked meal by the sea. I also get to taste some delicious farm-to-table vegetables they’ve grown from their aquaponics farm ♥️ I’ve enjoyed my time on the island, there’s a dive centre 5-min walk from the lodge and it’s convenient if you’d like to join a dive or two. My room is right in front of the sea with a little garden, sun lounge area and a private entrance to the beach. You’re surrounded by nature and animals, I’ve seen cats, cows, tree frogs, big green turtles and more. Just be prepared for mosquitos at night, you can spray the room before you leave for dinner, I’ve also bought a “Deep Woods” repellent and some repellent wristbands which comes in quite handy. There’s no aircon in the room but the island breeze does help, the room is well-ventilated and there’s a fan and cooling machine in the room. Truly an amazing getaway, I must come back again!

El The Last Frontier Boutique Resort se encuentra en Bilit, en lo alto de una colina de 100 metros con vistas a la reserva forestal de Kinabatangan y a 2 horas en coche de la hermosa Sandakan. Lodging, meals, guiding... all was superb (including the sightings of pygmy elephants and orangutans). The people at the Last Frontier Resort are very passionate about their jobs and they excel at it. Rodel was a great guide and Jason went out of his way to make sure our onward journey by bus would work smoothly. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Would be 11 out of 10 (if that was a possibility). So if you get the chance - book it :)

Bayu Senja Lodge se encuentra en Kundasang y dispone de vistas al jardín, wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Personal muy amable y unas vistas preciosas.

Borneo Jungle Adventure está en Kinabatangan y dispone de wifi gratis, terraza, restaurante y zona de barbacoa. Nuestra estancia en Borneo Jungle Adventure ha sido increíble sobretodo gracias a su personal y, especialmente, a Linda, la encargada deñ alojamiento. Aunque no conseguimos avistar orangutanes y elefantes Linda hizo todo lo posible en las excursiones al río. El avistamiento de vida salvaje es así, impredecible. Aprendimos muchísimo de ella y de la selva en nuestros días. Es un alojamiento muy ecológico y amable con el medioambiente y los animales. Linda lo hace todo desde el corazón, y su relación con la naturaleza es inspiradora. Si estás esperando lujos quizás este no es tu lugar, pero tendrás una experiencia para toda la vida. La comida estaba muy buena y las habitaciones son cómodas.

Borneo Sepilok Rainforest Resort se encuentra en Sepilok y ofrece alojamiento con piscina al aire libre abierta todo el año, restaurante y bar. Really amazing place to stay near all of the sights in Sepilok. I chose to walk everywhere and it seemed to be in a pretty central location. Food was tasty and staff was friendly.

Nulu View Cabin se encuentra en Kundasang, en la región de Sabah, y ofrece alojamiento con parking privado gratis. Great view, superb facilities, clean & comfortable.

Maglami-lami Water House está en Semporna y dispone de vistas al mar y restaurante. Todas las unidades tienen baño privado totalmente equipado con bidet y zapatillas. El lodge ofrece terraza solárium. Location and staff specially front office, kitchen and diving staff

Tampat do Aman se encuentra en Kudat y ofrece wifi gratis, jardín, terraza y restaurante. Howard has created a beautiful lodge intertwined with the surrounding environment, going above and beyond for any guests needs, the wildlife reserve he has created is fantastic for bird spotting and if you're lucky enough to be there when he does his edible and medicinal plants tour and traditional rungus lunch don't hesitate.

Sabah Tea Resort está en Ranau y dispone de vistas a la montaña, jardín y restaurante. Hay wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. This was an incredible place. We spent a night in the longhouse and ate in the restaurant. The longhouse was brilliant. It was so exciting to have this experience and it was far more well appointed than we expected with sinks and lights in each room! The open air restaurant that looks out over the tea gardens and Mt Kinabalu is in a stunning setting and the food was delicious..None of us wanted to leave!

El Paganakan Dii Tropical Retreat cuenta con casas de campo privadas y habitaciones compartidas, situadas en medio de la selva. The room was basic but loved the way it opened out to the jungle - loved the sounds at night. The staff were great and very helpful.
