Pension Ringo-no Ki is a completely non-smoking property located in Hakuba. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. There is a hairdryer, free toiletries and slippers on site. Yoshi and his wife were the warmest hosts we have met after 6 months of travelling. From the moment we arrived early morning, they took care of us and went out of their way to accommodate us. The pension is very cosy, the room and beds are very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast is simply amazing, so worth it! The private onsen, which can be used one hour per day, is another fantastic bonus, especially after a day of skiing. Do not hesitate to book this place, you will not regret it!

Located just a 5-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Snow Resort, Marushige provides cosy accommodation with Japanese-style guestrooms, a dining area and shared bath. Great location, a few minutes walk from the bus stop and main street, and just a few more minutes to the escalators which take you up to the skifield. Friendly staff, great breakfasts and the dinner we had one night was delicious! The Japanese style bathrooms are nice, currently you can book them for your private use. Fantastic place to stay if you want to enjoy the snow, or just absorb the atmosphere of a small ski town (please try the steamed buns sold in the street!). I would definitely recommend staying at Marushige, I would like to come back again one day.

A 5-minute drive from Hakuba Happoone Ski Resort, Pension Belnia offers cosy accommodations and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. We really enjoyed the staff in the hotel. Yutaka and his wife were very nice and made our stay here very pleasant.

A 15-minute drive from Pilatus Ski Resort, chalet-like Nomanomori offers quaint Western rooms. It features a garden with a terrace, free Wi-Fi and a cosy lounge with a fireplace. Delightful cosy b&b with the most friendly, helpful and generous owners. Rooms are not huge but ample for a couple with lovely outlook over the garden. Breakfast is home cooked and delicious, served in a nice dining room with open fireplace nearby. The owners generously offered to serve us a home cooked meal for dinner one evening as we were having difficulty finding an open restaurant. It was delicious. Private bathrooms are small but adequate however they have a great large indoor bath/spa for guests which was so relaxing. Plenty of lovely places to visit, drives, local onsen etc and the owners have lots of local knowledge and information. Really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.

A 10-minute walk from Happo One Ski Resort, guests at Log Cottage Epoch can rent out an entire cottage. Each spacious cottage comes with free Wi-Fi and includes a kitchen and a living room. Amazing onsen! Toshi was incredible and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Situated a 2-minute walk from the Happo Bus Terminal, the completely non-smoking Ski-Kan features a hot-spring bath and hotel-wide free WiFi. Staying at Ski-kan has been the best experience for me of all my various stays in Japan because of the landlady, Ms Takako! She was super helpful, went out of her way multiple times to help me get around - made me feel like i was staying with a relative instead of renting a place. Oh, and she kept surprising me with snacks which were so beautiful and delicious that I thought they were bought off some artisanal stores, until she told me that they're made by her! I will certainly book any lodging that is run by her without hesitation. She made my visit to Hakuba very memorable! Thank you, Ms Takako!
