The hotel was fabulous, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was the best we had in all of Switzerland. If you are into hiking this is the hotel for you. We give our stay two thumbs up!

Located next to the car-free centre of Appenzell, Adler Hotel is set in a beautiful traditional Appenzell-style building. Staying here was a fantastic experience. We stayed in the Junior Suite with Mountain View, and it was absolutely remarkable what the proprietor has done with this space. Absolutely the most comfortable and adorable small hotel we have stayed in Switzerland!! The roomy suite had views to the local mountain peaks, and was adorned with a large family-style table & chairs, comfortable furniture including a recliner and a couch, a flat-screen TV, and even a piano with busts of Beethoven and Brahms (I think, anyway). Just couldn't have been cozier!! Excellent breakfast. And it was clear the staff are devoted to the comfort and convenience of their guests. Like helping me carry the pizzas from the (excellent) Italian restaurant up to the room the evening my wife wasn't feeling well, Or making a suggestion to visit a local site we weren't even aware of, but turned out to be fantastic. Thank You Thank You Thank You for a moving and memorable stay in your establishment! We hope to be back someday!!

This traditional guesthouse in Alt St. Johann is just 500 metres from the Sellamatt Ski Lift. It includes a restaurant serving classic Swiss cuisine and offers free Wi-Fi in public areas. The location was great. Even though the location is slightly off the beaten track there is easy access by a half hourly bus service. Handily situated for the chair lift to Selamatt. The room was a decent size and comfortable. The evening meals were good value and the menu although not large had sufficient choices. Breakfast was good but would have liked the option of some cold meats.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is spotless. The breakfast very good. the option to purchase and have dinner at the hotel restaurant was very convenient. The dinner was excellent. You can tell they care for presentation as well as taste. I would go again!

Surrounded by a park with a sunbathing lawn and a playground, the palace-style Hotel Restaurant Belvedere enjoys a quiet location in Weissbad. It offers free Wi-fi and mountain views. The location of the hotel is absolutely amazing, it is possible to go to several hikes directly from there. Our room had a very nice balcony with a view. We also had a medium sized dog with us and it was no problem at all (I was a bit afraid it will be complicated, but it was not). The hotel staff is very friendly and it is obvious that they truly care about enjoyment of stay of their guests :)! We also ate several dinners at their restaurant and it was really good, only some of the portions were too big for us :D. Our favourite dishes were the trout and the steak (although traditional rösti is definitely also worth mentioning). If the circumstances are right, we would love to visit some time again.

The view was amazing, room was so comfortable and the entire property was beautiful! The staff was so kind and welcoming too!
