Surrounded by the Hoher Kasten to Säntis Mountains, Gasthaus Bären Schlatt offers rooms with views of the mountains and Appenzell village. Absolutely wonderful property. Sensational location, wonderful staff, great food and great room. No praise too high. Deserves 11/10.

Circondato da colline e montagne, il Landgasthaus Neues Bild, Eggerstanden, a conduzione familiare, occupa un edificio storico a 10 minuti di auto dal centro di Appenzello. Better than expected. Trails nearby. Easy parking. Room was very comfortable and updated. During the summer, it was nice to have a fan in the room. We had a great dinner on one night. The host and staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay here again.

Immerso in una natura incontaminata, il Waldgasthaus Lehmen sorge a 4 km da Weissbad nel cantone di Appenzello. Offre camere in stile alpino e un incantevole ristorante con terrazza. We stayed 2 nights beginning of June. If you like traditional places, you should visit Waldgasthaus Lehmen. You would be surrounded by natural forest with a view on Appenzell Alps. One of the most common sound during the day is various bells on cow necks. We were lucky to see how Appenzell farmers bring their cows to the mountains. The farmers have very beautiful cloths! On Saturday we saw a group of farmers, who came in their traditional dresses to Lehmen restaurant and had a few hours of singing and enjoying food. The restaurant is very good, if you like Swiss food. You must be hiking in that region, otherwise food might be too heavy. I had pork steak, pork schnitzel and beef steak with noodles and mushrooms. All dishes were very tasty. You have to try local beer! And Lehmen whisky! Highly recommended! Very nice! Service is impeccable, fast and attentive. All personnel is very friendly. Breakfast is wonderful! I would prefer, if it started at 7 instead of 8… Our room 17 was great, soft pillows, comfy beds, bath, simple but cozy design. The hotel has a playground for kids. Parking is huge.

Eichberg’s Landgasthof Hölzlisberg has a barrier-free restaurant that serves seasonal Swiss and international cuisine. The Eichberg bus stop is 1 km away. I like the property and the host and the location up hill ,beautiful. Feel home 🏡. It’s really traditional classics hotel and the owner so kind to us . She willing to open the restaurant just for us as we can’t go outside because of the weather to cold. It’s was last minute to order food and she really helped us. The day check out she did send us to train station 🚉. Thank you 🙏 so much to her kindness and hospitality. Definitely I will comeback again . Will recommend to others.

Situata a soli 500 metri dall'impianto di risalita di Sellamatt, questa tradizionale struttura di Alt St. Personale e chef tutto ok. Non potendo fare colazione, lo chef mi ha offerto l'aperitivo 😊 veramente un bel gesto. Ristorante ok . Tutto 👍
