There was a private sink in the room and plugs and light next to each bed. The bathroom shower is very private as well. For being a hostel, you get a lot of privacy.

The historical colonial villa is set in an enchanting garden with plum, lemon trees and flowers. sitting out on the balcony where some other backpackers sat to chill out in the afternoon. Everyone I met were amazing, friendly and very interested in why my Husband and i were in Nelson. The uphill was a challenge but doable, the parking was hard as we had a big 4x4 but again it was doable. The owner of The Palace was a pretty cool down to earth person. We enjoyed our stay and we will go back again.
