We had our own kitchen and dining area to meet in. They also rearranged rooms to meet our needs. The location is great in the center of Nelson, right next to grocery stores, shopping, and the Saturday Market. Everything was kept impeccably clean. Thus was the best hostel we stayed in New Zealand! They were also very helpful in arranging outings for everyone. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Everyone I met were amazing, friendly and very interested in why my Husband and i were in Nelson. The uphill was a challenge but doable, the parking was hard as we had a big 4x4 but again it was doable. The owner of The Palace was a pretty cool down to earth person. We enjoyed our stay and we will go back again.
