It is just 1.4 km away from Otaru Station and a 3-minute walk to Suitengu Temple. Otaru Canal is a 10-minute walk away. This hostel are only shared dormitory rooms. No private room. It has a free-use kitchen, a terrace and free Wi-Fi. All rooms are non-smoking. 30 steps to reach entrance. No elevator. Amazing staff, amazing homecooked breakfast! Unbelievable view from the balkong. Very very cute dog and cat also is a plus for the stay. 10/10

They provided many great recommendations on places to visit and eat. Hostel Tomar also has many facilities including a big shared kitchen and a rooftop bar that opens in the summer. You could also rent bicycles to explore the area at an affordable price. Overall, the hostel is clean and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure that the guests' stay is comfortable

There's a list in the café of the onsens in the town that you can visit with details like prices and opening times. The staff were very kind and helpful.
