Situated 1.4 km from Otaru Station, The Otaornai Backpacker's Hostel Morinoki offers 1-star accommodation in Otaru and has a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. This guesthouse is absolutely lovely. There are mangas everywhere (and one in english about Ainou!), cosy common spaces where it's really nice to hang out, great decoration... We feel a little at home. The host is adorable and the beds comfortable. One of the guesthouses I liked the most so far :)

Ryo was an amazing host. He shuttled us to the mountain every day and was a great help. Although the property is so conveniently close to the train station, my friend and I still managed to almost miss our train to Sapporo… Ryo saved the day and drove us to the train station, carried both of our massive luggage bags up to the ticket booth, and helped us buy tickets just in time!

Boasting ski-to-door access, Niseko Hirafu Tsukushi is situated in Kutchan in the Hokkaido region, 5.6 km from Hirafu Station and 1.1 km from Lerch Memorial Park. Great place. Super friendly and everything was pretty dialed. Hot showers, laundry, full kitchen and pantry storage. Not the best location for walking to or from but they will gladly shuttle you where you need to go as well as there being a bus stop within 5 minutes.

There was plenty of space to store your luggage and it was easy to meet other travellers in the common area. Having a full kitchen to use was awesome.

Hostel Tomar is set in Furano, the hostel is 300 metres from Furano Station is 300 metres. Guests at the hostel will be able to enjoy activities in and around Furano, like skiing. A fantastic hostel! This is easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The facilities are excellent, and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. If you are a skier or snowboarder, there are plenty of places for you to store your gear, and the bedrooms have ample space for your suitcases and bags. I don't have a bad thing to say about this hostel!

In a prime location in Sapporo, The Stay Sapporo Annex provides air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge and free WiFi. Great value for money double room. It was cosy but clean and comfy. The staff were friendly and there is a social area downstairs. its within a walk of Susukino also
