Looking for a hostel?
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Great location right on the lake. Convenience stores and coffee shops nearby. Check-in was detailed and handled very well. The breakfasts were good - the dinners were great.

Very classic and nostalgic, super friendly and welcoming senior staff making you feel like coming hom seeing grandparents. Great location, splendid view of the lake from the eoom. Offers a great variety of activities from hot spring, sauna, bed rock bath to fireworks on the lake, you will definitely not be bored during the night. Souvenir shop is also very good.

Very clean rooms and shared space. The shared showers and bathrooms are modern and allow for privacy - we didn't feel like being in a hostel at all. AC was available and working well - very necessary in the hot summer months.

This is a clean, well-run guesthouse with friendly staff and a café where you order on a machine - the café doesn't take cash but did accept my foreign card with no issues. This guesthouse is a great budget option compared to the spa hotels in Toyako Onsen. There's a list in the café of the onsens in the town that you can visit with details like prices and opening times. The staff were very kind and helpful.

Great location next to the lake. We could see the fireworks from our room. The staff were very helpful in making sure we knew exactly how everything worked. Nice onsen. Japanese-style dinner and breakfast were included and the hotel was able to prepare a vegetarian option for both meals (which we requested in advance.) Hotel is a little dated but this was not a problem and it was good value for money.

The hostel's location is good. It is very convenient to have a bathroom and a sink in the room. The storage space under the bed is quite spacious. The common areas are fairly clean.

A great location near the local restaurants, bars, hot springs, etc. The hosts were very accommodating and allowed me to store my bike inside the lobby. They were very friendly and recommended me some great places to eat and drink in the area. Overall, a chill place to stay if you're looking for a hostel. I was also the only guest in the hostel so it seemed like I had the place to myself.
