Very nice, spacious, quiet, and clean apartment with many good utilities. The whole apartment basically has a nice tatami floor and for sleeping there are futons which are also quite nice. The location is very convenient allowing easy and quick access to surrounding sightseeing and hiking places (i.e., with a car). Supermarkets are within walking distance. Great value for the money. Overall, we had an excellent stay.

Waking up here at 5 a.m. to see the fog roll over the mountain Infront of the glassy lake is a dream come true! The host was very kind and helpful and provided us a space to park for our rental car. The facilities was also very clean and the kitchen is complete for any type of food preparing activity. There are also blanket heaters provided for sleep. A traditional house which is comfortable to stay. I do hope there is some communication or guide a bit when we arrive/leave because we are not sure if it was ok to just barge in since the host was not around to receive us, but it was not too much of a problem since we did informed him we would arrive late and he came later that night to greet us and ensure we are settle in. Overall it was an experience that i will never forget staying there and I hope to come again in the future.

Beautiful peaceful guesthouse with everything you may need. The owner is a lovely lady who was incredibly helpful.

We have an authentic taste of living in a traditional Japanese home, albeit a very large room. The whole two-storey unit was left all to ourselves after the restaurant below has closed. The host was very kind to have allowed us the use of many of the facilities in the unit, as I believe we were staying for more than 2 nights. There was very thoughtful provision of water and many little packets of tea and snacks as part of the package. All essential facilities (e.g. bathroom, shower, washing machine, dryer) worked well and good.

The owner of the place was great, he explained me everything about the area, what to do and where to go, good places to eat and other stuff. The rooftop was stunning view to the Mount Fuji, clean place, they also give you bike for free to go around the area, just felt like home and I highly recommend this place.

Amazing hostel : clean, spacious, comfortable bed, with a big and cozy common area. The staff is super nice, from the outside space of the hostel, in a sunny day, you can seat and see the Fuji. Free bicycle to go around the lake. Amazing experience

אכסניית האנה פוג'יסאן (Hana Hostel Fujisan) שוכנת ב-יושידה (Yoshida), ומציעה טרקלין משותף. מטבח משותף ושירות לרכישה כרטיסים זמינים גם הם. I never felt so well treated by a hotel!!! They took a Polaroid d picture and gave it us with a letter. I’m also pregnant and they gifted us with vitamin C, and chopsticks for both of us and the future baby! The facility is veeery clean, very close to the station and Hana and Satori, the owners, couldn’t be any sweeter!!!! We loooved our stay here!

Renovated in September 2018, Guesthouseほのぼの offers an accommodation with free WiFi in Fujikawaguchiko, 1.3 km from Lake Kawaguchi. I loved the design of the place, feels like home. And the owner was very nice and helpful!

Open from July 2017, Guesthouse Murabito is nestled just a 2-minute stroll away from Lake Yamanaka. What I liked about the property was how comfortable I was able to be and how warm and welcoming the staff were. This place is very special and dear to me because not only was the location great but the staff were so accommodating and this place had so much charm to it. The facilities were great as well super clean and sanitary beds were great and I felt very safe here. The best part was having coffee and chatting with the owners Keisuke and Marino. Great people with great stories, I could definitely talk to them for days straight if I wasn’t backpacking throughout Japan. Overall Yamanakako is a hidden gem and there is no better place to stay and experience it than Guesthouse Murabito.
