ミロクハウス, a property with a garden, is situated in Daisen, 10 km from Omagari Station, 22 km from Kakunodate Station, as well as 41 km from Tazawako Station. Very clean, friendly place. Visited Akita for the Kanto Festival in Akita city. It is about 1 hour drive but was no stress. The town of Misato is famous for spring water and amazing sake.

We liked everything and had a great time in Koh's house. It's a very big place, with all the ground floor available for us, with a completely equipped kitchen, washing machine, and everything we need. There is a small shopping center in a walking distance from the house, and a few restaurants too. Koh's house is in a calm a residential neighborhood which is nice to get closer to the japanese lifestyle in a small village, but there is a train station in a walking distance from there and it's just one station distant from Akita's main station. Finally, our host Koh is a very nice person, insisting in picking us up at Akita main station upon our arrival, and leaved us back there when we left, and very helpful all the time.

I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel right at home. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which was available at a very reasonable price and tasted great! The room was cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. I also loved the convenience of the mini-store inside the guesthouse, where I could grab snacks like ramen and beer. Another bonus was having access to a laundry machine, which made my stay even more comfortable and convenient.

Situata a Senboku, a 21 km dal Lago Tazawa, la Kakunodate Guest House Choux offre un salone in comune, un parcheggio privato gratuito e un giardino. This place exceeded my expectations in every way. Well located a few minutes away from the station, with a supermarket 1 minute away and easy access to nature. Everything was convenient, clean and pretty, but above everything else was the owners kindness. Constantly present and helpful, they were a delight and an absolute pleasure to chat with. I intend to come visit Akita again, I don't know when, but I'll make sure to come back to this hostel.

Situato a Odate, l'HACHI offre un giardino, attrezzature per barbecue e una terrazza. It’s a beautiful old house of the Showa era, and it gives a real feeling for the culture of that time. It also has a few entirely modern conveniences which we were less interested in :-) but for people like us who really are interested in the Japan of the mid 20th century, it’s an absolutely delightful stay
