Visited Akita for the Kanto Festival in Akita city. It is about 1 hour drive but was no stress. The town of Misato is famous for spring water and amazing sake.

Great space in the house, multiple rooms on the ground floor including the kitchen, everything is neat and clean. Koh-san always goes above and beyond: this time, he helped us buy tickets for a performance (which required research and dedication!), and also with a hotel reservation needing phone calls. Thank you so much for all your help, and we hope to be back again one winter -- Akita is our favorite prefecture!

One of the highlights was the breakfast, which was available at a very reasonable price and tasted great! The room was cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. I also loved the convenience of the mini-store inside the guesthouse, where I could grab snacks like ramen and beer. Another bonus was having access to a laundry machine, which made my stay even more comfortable and convenient.
