ミロクハウス, a property with a garden, is situated in Daisen, 10 km from Omagari Station, 22 km from Kakunodate Station, as well as 41 km from Tazawako Station. Very clean, friendly place. Visited Akita for the Kanto Festival in Akita city. It is about 1 hour drive but was no stress. The town of Misato is famous for spring water and amazing sake.

It's a very big place, with all the ground floor available for us, with a completely equipped kitchen, washing machine, and everything we need. There is a small shopping center in a walking distance from the house, and a few restaurants too. Koh's house is in a calm a residential neighborhood which is nice to get closer to the japanese lifestyle in a small village, but there is a train station in a walking distance from there and it's just one station distant from Akita's main station. Finally, our host Koh is a very nice person, insisting in picking us up at Akita main station upon our arrival, and leaved us back there when we left, and very helpful all the time.

Set 8.4 km from Nyuto Hot Spring, Hotel Radish House offers 1-star accommodation in Senboku and features a garden. A hot tub is available for guests. I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making me feel right at home. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which was available at a very reasonable price and tasted great! The room was cozy and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. I also loved the convenience of the mini-store inside the guesthouse, where I could grab snacks like ramen and beer. Another bonus was having access to a laundry machine, which made my stay even more comfortable and convenient.

Situated in Senboku, 38 km from Nyuto Hot Spring, Kakunodate Guest House Choux features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. This place exceeded my expectations in every way. Well located a few minutes away from the station, with a supermarket 1 minute away and easy access to nature. Everything was convenient, clean and pretty, but above everything else was the owners kindness. Constantly present and helpful, they were a delight and an absolute pleasure to chat with. I intend to come visit Akita again, I don't know when, but I'll make sure to come back to this hostel.

Minpaku AMBO - Friendly share house - has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Kazuno, 40 km from Lake Towada. Super spacious and comfortable room. Really wanted to stay longer but had to take the first Hanawa Line train😭😭

Set just 33 km from Omagari Station, Hostel&Bar CAMOSIBA offers accommodation in Yokote with access to a garden, a bar, as well as a shared kitchen. Close to the station, comfortable rooms and facilities. Bar area was also a good vibe and food was tasty. Staff were super friendly! Made some good memories and friends! Thanks for the stay!!

Located in Odate in the Akita region, HACHI has a balcony and garden views. It’s a beautiful old house of the Showa era, and it gives a real feeling for the culture of that time. It also has a few entirely modern conveniences which we were less interested in :-) but for people like us who really are interested in the Japan of the mid 20th century, it’s an absolutely delightful stay
